I do love looking on there for the weird and wonderful.

There really are 7 (this is all over 18 by the way as i think it comes from the electoral roll) Chardonnays in the country, and 2 incorrectly spelt Chardonays too!

In my new job I work with a Sorrel, which incidentally I think is a lovely name, which got me thinking about other herbs and spices.

I see we have a Saffron on here, 600 odd of you.

The are:

2 Thymes

1 Dandelion

6 Chards

24 Peppers

3 Mints

4 Tarragons

20 Verbenas

4 Chiles, 4 Chillis and 2 Chilis

78000 Rosemarys

and no Aniseeds in this country.

Look, i just do this sort of thing, I can't help it okay?

My partner and I are planning to call our daughter Harper (due May 23). We both really love the name. Heard a story recently of someone giving their son the middle name of Danger. Purely so when they grow up they can say: "Danger is my middle name". Hilarious. I want to give my daughter the middle name of X. Just X. Harper X I think is great. I think she may grow up with superpowers with a name like Harper X. Don't think my other half will let me get away with it though.

But yes, Harper is a good name.

My girl name was Mabel but my husband wanted Annabel, which I thought was a bit too precious. So we found Amabel in the Book of Baby Names from Yore (or something like that) which suited us both.

No girl came though, which is probably a good thing because five years later I still for the life of me can't pronounce it.

Fuschia is it pronounced Rory? I really like it.

I and my friends tend towards more traditional names so there are some Marys, Elizabeths, Sophias, Catherines etc.

As a variation on Margaret, I like Marguerite which strikes me as much more feminine somehow.

Am I the only one shocked by the parents immaturity in giving the middle name Danger? It struck me as quite pathetic.

I'm loving your names.

My husband wanted to name our son Aethelred. If you guessed that it didn't happen you would be right.

    • I haven't had any problems, except when the online  appointment system is full, but I have found if something is urgent they can fit you in if you phone. I think they probably keep a few spaces free for urgent last minute appointments, but I'm just guessing  I've found it quite convenient being able to email questions which previously I would have had to ask at an actual appointment, and I've always had a speedy reply. You can send photos as well. I don't know about forms and letters. That sounds bad. Have the admin staff changed recently?

    • The yoghurt was very sharp (not sure of right word) and  if memory serves quite runny. Nothing like the stuff sold now. There was pink as well. Strawberry? That must have had sugar in? Too new fangled for us, but my Auntie Grace down the road used to get it 😂 Well, you had to keep up to date. Sorry, couldn't resist.
