Yes they are.

With regard to your earlier question regarding advance sale of tickets for the Chelmsford City game, they are now on sale from the bar from 6pm every evening:

There was "no new building" on the previous planning application either but the Council said that the substantial works proposed would harm the open and undeveloped nature of the MOL and that was one of the five reasons why they deemed the application unacceptable. So terraces, fences around the pitch and walls around the stadium do constitute unacceptable development with regard to MOL.

You'll notice that Meadow craftily talk about "the stadium" when in fact they mean the main stand only, eg "The stadium will sit outside the MOL". They wouldn't be doing that if they were confident that the rest of the stadium development was acceptable.

A reminder that there's a public meeting at Dulwich Hamlet's bar this evening to discuss all matters to do with the future of the club including, but not restricted to, the proposals for redeveloping the ground:

"The directors of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club will be holding a public meeting at the club house bar at Champion Hill Stadium at 7.30pm on Monday January 28, 2019.

The purpose of the meeting is to update fans and the local community on the status and future of the football club after the events of the past year and invite questions from attendees.

The club will be happy to answer questions on any subject including the financial position of the club, the status and impact of the new leases for the stadium and surrounding areas and our position on the proposed new application the development of Champion Hill by Meadow Partners."

I?ve just attended the exhibition at Dulwich Hamlet for the development by Meadow. As expected nothing much extra information wise. when you sign in you can ask for email updates on the project and there are forms to fill in to give feedback.

The exhibition runs for another hour or so, until 2pm. If you have questions there are people there to talk to.

What little information there is can be found on http://www.championhillproposals.com/exhibition/. There is a model of the proposed site at the exhibition but it was surrounded when I was there and may well change before the formal planning application so I didn?t wait to see it.

I?d say if you are going to Sainsburys / will be in the area pop in but don?t make a special journey unless you want to ask questions.

Hi Abe,

Interested in what you are basing this comment on and what your motivation is. This sort of uninformed and speculative comment can be quite damaging, whatever your objective.

As Brandnewguy says, the directors were quite candid about current finances at a recent fans meeting. Awash with cash is a position we can only dream of.

So your other post asking whether the council gave dhfc some money is unrelated?

Either way, you are best asking the club themselves rather than here, I've found them to be very helpful, transparent and communicative. Why don't you come to a game? The directors are always happy to talk to you on a match day.

It took me all of three seconds to Google "Dulwich Hamlet New Bar" and find this: https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/sport/rabble-rouser-why-dulwich-hamlets-new-bar-is-a-living-history/ - perhaps that would have been easier for you?

The answer is simple Abe. Having successfully impersonated you at lunch some time ago, I took things a step further and have been standing in for you at your pork factory when you've been out to lunch over the last six months. During this time I have secretly liquidated almost all of your company's assets (leasing them back on ridiculous terms, so that you wouldn't notice they are gone) and have given the proceeds to the Club. All you have left in fact is the land the factory is on, which you will need to sell to meet your liabilities. But never mind, you're in a prime location perfectly suited to a dense residential development scheme and so I'm sure you'll find plenty of buyers.

    • We used Anstey Horne following work done by our neighbours and they were very helpful. Maybe they could provide some guidance? Good luck. https://www.ansteyhorne.co.uk/about/team
    • Sounds like your neighbour is trying to bully you into  to be compliant and stay quiet.  You really don't have any choice but to contact Southwark regarding building alteration planning permission.  But also try to find your own surveyor asap.  It might cost you now.  But if you don't it could well really get expensive and cause issues with any potential selling in the future.  Don't feel bad about standing up for yourself and your future.....
    • Thank you, he's pretty adamant a party wall agreement isn't needed so no chance of getting plans, he's been very cagey about what's being done. I've asked for the specific clause in the Party Wall Act that suggests he doesn't because I'm pretty worried. Is it just the chimney breasts that would fall under the act? He's insisting the others don't count as party walls.
    • Thanks  for the reminder nellie. Have today received two letters dated February 2024. Heading down to Highshore Road tomorrow to see if there's anything for us. I'm getting obsessive about missing/late arriving bills since having our phone and broadband cut off when we hadn't received (so hadn't paid) a bill from BT that had been posted to us. I now keep a note in my diary of when the various utility bills are expected, and phoning them when I think something is due, invariably they say the bill has been sent out. It shouldn't be so hard.
