Went to Lucas this morning with my brother and parents (6 of us in total). Complete disaster. Main problems were as follows

Brother wanted three fried eggs, they would only do 2 or 4

Cup of tea arrived and waitress tipped it over my brother with no apology, glad it missed the 8 month old baby.

Part of the order was wrong, again no apology.

Hash browns were frozen in the middle, not cold, literally ice. Owner very nonchalant about it. We sent this meal back - it had already come out wrong twice.

Avocado in 3 of the meals was under ripe and rock solid. Not eaten and sent back.

When my husband said to the owner at the end ?this has been a bit of a disaster today hasn?t it?? His reply was ?these things happen?. No apology.

Completely understand that new business have teething issues but this was pretty diabolical. Try spinach, blue brick or one of the other fantastic breakfast offerings we have in East Dulwich.

It is my right to state my opinion on what other people eat if it is causing unhealthy snobbery in our neighbourhood. You tell me it?s none of my business, then go on to criticise me for being a fan of a full English breakfast. Double standards much.

About time you started another thread in the lounge to divert admin's attention from your games on here, isn't it Louisa?

"Pretentious wannabe places"? "Working class establishments"?

FFS.

You seem to hate this area and anybody who tries to start a new business in it so much, I genuinely cannot understand why you continue to use this forum except, as pointed out above, to wind people up.

You make the same offensive points over and over then play the victim.

It would be mildly amusing if it wasn't so nasty.

ETA: Another potentially useful thread derailed.

Louisa is merely expressing her opinion on a new business.

It is not Lou that has derailed this thread. It is those who have a personal grudge on lou.

that persistently 'but it' without giving any positive content to the thread.

Other people have expressed their disapproval of Lucas's without being persecuted.

Stop all the personal stuff. If you think you are being wound-up, then don't bite.

Sue please do not accuse me of being negative when this whole entire thread is about a negative review, or did you fail to notice than? Sue can you please stop with all this. Once again you directly pick on me for having any sort of opinion about anything. This conversation was between me and another person, so as Foxy politely says, why not stay clear of my conversation if it offends you so much? Nothing stopping you making a valid contribution to this thread if you have one, is there?

I have not been to Luca's and therefore have not commented on place, but still getting stick.

In fact I have not been commenting on here very much recently about anywhere, new or old.

Sue... you have just got to let go..

    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
