Campsites for all the family

Any recommendations appreciated. Blackberry Wood is always always booked up and generally any others that are listed in the top 10 Times/Telegraph best camp sites.

Would like a family site not more that a couple of hours from London.

Went here on the weekend just gone-

was very nice, will def go back. Plenty of rabbits hopping about and horse riding too.

The village of Alfriston itself is quite interesting and pretty.

Forgewood in Tonbridge Wells is really good.

try to camp in the woods rather than on the field - its lovely!

I would recommend either Tanner Farm Park or Palace Farm, neither of which is too far away.

Facilities are better at Tanner Farm but it is a larger site and therefore you would expect them to be, no campfire though. Owners at both are IMO a bit grumpy. Forgewood OK but a bit basic and, again IMO, a bit over priced for what they're offering.

Stubcroft farm is about an hour and a half away and is a lovely campsite. Beautiful beaches a short drive away and shops / cafe etc a ten min walk away. You can book in advance and the facilities are good. stubcroft farm campsite

We went to Dunn Street Farm, near Ashford a couple of years ago and plan to go back. It's a farm, shared fridge, washing machine and freezer facilities. It's always good to get recommendations - I've bookmarked Palace Farm recently, and am about to look at Stubcroft. Brilliant!

This nice weather has made camping the popular choice for the Bank holiday it seems! Any other gems anyone can recommend for me to try and get a last minute break in the South East. All the above are fully booked (apart fro Dunn street which sounds lovely but I'm still waiting to hear back from them).
