Suzib
My partner and I can't decide to buy a Bugaboo Bee or an iCandy peach for our first child. The bugaboo seems better for size and weight but as it hasn't got carry cot I am worried it wont be suitable and warm enough as the baby is born in November. Any thoughts or advice would be great. supergolden88
My boy was born in November and we got the Bee. There was snow everywhere in December but he was perfectly snug in his baby cocoon - I put a lambskin lining in it and put the rain cover up when it was really cold. bumpy
I have a Bee and love it, though in hindsight I'd have preferred a carry cot when he was newborn as it could double up as moses basket & didn't like having to strap him in each time. amydown
Another vote for Bee although we did have a M&P Pilko for the first 10 weeks of D's life. If I was doing it again, I'm definitely buying the Donkey though (but would still need the Bee).In fact, I might buy the Donkey anyway. It's an investment right? :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17275-bugaboo-bee-or-icandy-peach/#findComment-436052 Share on other sites
snowboarder
Nooo the donkey is awful!! It looks ridiculous! I am currently working out how I can pre order the new mountain buggy duet without my husband noticing...Hum, anyway - bee and peach are v different...I had the ICandy apple for baby 1 and it was great. But if you are having to get up stairs, or fold the pram up often then the bee is perfect. It's certainly not as smooth as the apple (and therefore imagine peach). Have you seen the limited edition peach? Looks cool! snowboarder
OOoh have you seen the icandy strawberry? Could be a compromise if it's out in time? Looks cool!(note to self not to be so excitable about prams) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17275-bugaboo-bee-or-icandy-peach/#findComment-436079 Share on other sites
nylonmeals
Bee perfect if you are planning on using public transport a lot - fits in smaller places I think (like buses!) slh2009
I have a Peach and am very happy with it. I used the carrycot throughout the winter and my baby was very snug and warm in there and slept well in it. When he was almost 5 months old I moved him into the stroller as he was keen to see around him and is quite long so was only just fitting in the carrycot. It's a dream to push around but I tend to walk, drive or get the train everywhere so have not been on a bus with it yet. I imagine if you will be getting the bus a lot the Bee would be easier to handle as it will be much lighter. The Peach wasn't the heaviest pram I tested but it was a bit heavier than the Cameleon. The only annoying thing I found with it was when I was using the carrycot the basket underneath was pretty much inaccessible which is a shame as it is quite big and now I'm using the stroller it's really handy for shopping. I'm not sure if the Bee accommodates a car seat as well but I found that useful with the Peach. Lastly if you were thinking of having 2 babies close in age then the Peach can be adapted to become a twin.Hope that helps!
