Marmora Man
Horniman is always good.My 8 year old great nephew (not a Londoner) has been up this weekend and enjoyed wandering around Borough Market, along the Thames to Tobacco Wharf, HMS Belfast and then the other direction past Golden Hinde, to London Eye - lots of buskers, jugglers etc. He also went on the Duck Tour (the only thing my neice actaully paid for) which he thought was cool. DG
There is a fundraising event at the One o'clock club Peckham rye on Friday and an international cooking thing too, not sure what day (Tuesday?)I also suggest swimming and/or softplay at Peckham Pulse. Rafts and Rascals is in the very warm hydro pool (check for times) and softplay starts on the hour. You can do both and have lunch in the cafe and still have change out of ?12.There sill also be things on at the libraries, Dulwich and Peckham. DG
Covent Garden is free, to watch the jugglers etc, but you have to start spending ?? if you want a drink!Science Museum and Nat History Museum free but v. crowded in the holidays.DLR trip to Docklands Museum is a good one, not free to get in but entry gains you entry for a year, i think.Imperial War Museum nr Waterloo is very good, lots to do. That's free. Can go on the 176.Also look here: http://www.londonfreelist.com/home.asp Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1766-half-term-what-activities-are-there-in-the-area-for-kids/#findComment-49504 Share on other sites

Nero
You could always organise entry-level law breaking, perhaps with a taster course of cycling on pavements and red light burning. Nero And yes, that was a joke. ChavWivaLawDegree
Thats ok Nero, I can manage that one myself. Any takers?Maybe you would like a lesson in bike riding in London? Or do you prefer to comment from the safety of a car or bus seat? Ultraconsultancy
I'm very much for grading attractions by the quality of the kids activities and interpretive staff; top as ever is the science museum, especially its two basement zones; Maritime, Imperial War, and Tate Britain kids activities are very good. if she is girly then V and A might suit. Tate Britains cafe has leaf tea by the way! kford
Kicking wing mirrors off cars; breaking car windows with bus escape hammmers; pushing motorbikes over; setting fire to recycling bins; mugging other girls. Am I being cynical?
