I forget that I am and it scares the life out of me to realise;

a) I'm driving a car - Wow!!! (it's only been 10 years this year :-S)

b) I am totally independent

c) I can tell my Mum to eff off.... ::o

d) my life hasn't turned out the way I expected it to when I was 10.

On a slightly separate note, this Saturday a couple of my friends are having a themed party at their house. The theme is "what did you want to be when you grew up" and you have to go in fancy dress. I didn't fancy digging out my jodhpurs and sourcing a mounted police officer's outfit, so I'm not going. And besides, I got a better offer ;-) Does sound like a bit of a laugh though.

Funny how things turn out....

    • Very happy to add my recommendation for TDR property maintenance. Tony and his team have transformed my front garden, breaking up a bare patch of concrete and laying a beautiful victorian tiled path. They've also repaired a wall and a fence for us. Richard's tiling has been meticulous and Tony's communication has been great throughout the process. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
    • Perhaps this could be part of your proposed forum meet up, the cheese I hasten to add @Sue
    • Sounds like you've had some interesting evenings 🤣
    • Shame, go there!  Although embarrassingly we only used it takeaway during lockdown.  It's a Persian store/cafe/restaurant if you are unaware of the cultural reference in the name.   Just checked the menu and it is phenomenal and good value too, thanks for reminding me to go there  https://foratasteofpersia.co.uk/restaurant/
