This very expensive chinook helicopter, probably could be doing more important things rather than spend a few hours.

entertaining the privalleged elite at Alleyns ,

What a decadent waste of money and proving we are not all in it together,Southwark cannot even afford traffic safety officers for kiddies.

Some people up there in Dulwich are thumbing their noses at the rest of us it seems.

Quite right. How DARE people spend money in ways that you do not approve of.

Pathetic Tarot, you really must try and knock these chips off your shoulders.

The parachute drops were part of regular training exercise which would have to be done anyway. When my cousin was a para he had to do a minimum of 4 day and 4 night jumps every year. So where it's done is of no significance.

Doing it over Alleyn's makes sense as the school has one of the largest CCF (Combined Cadet Force) operations in the UK and would be of direct interest to the cadets.

Pupils attend CCF in their own time after school hours. It is very useful in building team spirit, instill self-confidence and develop leadership skills. Quite a few ex cadets go on to have careers in the military - serving the country.
