Personally, I have never had any interest in football and have never been to see DH play.

BUT I will be there to show my support; the team have brought a wonderful energy to the area in recent years, the youth playing and training there come out full of positivity [sic] and it's just really nice seeing the fans, both local and visiting on game day around the area.

Shame on Meadow!

I do my shopping in Sainsbury's on Saturday afternoons, just before matchtime. The fans are the most considerate and polite supporters I've seen on matchday.

Even though the queue to get in stretches to the P13 bus stop in the car park, having local football in our area shouldn't be sacrificed.

Hear, hear! Meadow have behaved like absolute bullies. It's outrageous. I hope there is a good turn out for the rally this Saturday in defense of this local asset.

You should join forces, an EDF branch. Hook up with Blah Blah et al and protest together. Have fun in the snow...

Hope it a good turn out.

It was a good turnout. A bit cold for the kids but we bribed them with the promise of a treat from Sainsburys! Good speeches from everyone. The key message was to keep going to games at the temporary home to keep the income coming in.

Thanks Bic Basher.

Is that the usual standard of London Live news?

Really poor presenter who kept repeating herself and couldn't read the teleprompter (?) eg she read viable as visible. Plus Dulwich mis spelled (sp?)

Pity they didn't show the crowds who were there, or any of the speeches, eg by Helen Hayes, or the march.

But great to get the coverage, regardless!

Proud to have been there.

London Live had a short interview with Helen Hayes on the 6pm news, will post later.

    • My memory, admittedly not very reliable these days, places the shop on the block on the left hand side just before Burgess Park going towards Camberwell. Have also found a reference to Franklins Antiques being located at 157 Camberwell Road which is on that block. This is a screen shot obtained from Google maps of that address which accords with my memory except the entrance door was on the right hand side, where the grey door is, rather than in the centre.
