The Plough Pub Quiz

So me and the missus decided to check out the pub quiz at the Plough tonight and have a bite

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed

Then began the quiz, first section of ten questions... TV programmes

OK...

Next section of ten questions... Kid's TV programmes

Errr... OK

Followed by Showbiz Gossip, Cockney Rhyming Slang and Art & Architecture!!! Although that last one was a stretch for the MC who got the answers wrong

I guess you can take the chav out of the Plough but...

I popped in there a couple of Thursdays ago, and the quiz "master" was stumbling through his questions... had to repeat one several times before anyone knew what on earth he was on about... something about the international date line, travelling east, from Cuba to somewhere, and what time was it in London or something... we made our excuses and left.

Perhaps they should get the old quiz master from the MAG to do the quiz, he always manages to get a great atomosphere going.

Give them time, it's bloody harder than it looks doing a quiz (I've filled in at the CPT a few times), and you always get some narky tw@ts who take it far far too seriously giving you a really hard time. It really is a thankless task, even if you are being paid a few quid.

you cant beat Beaney at the mag ... slightly crazy, incredibly funny and extremely hard not to like!

he always gets the crowds in!

anyway.. back to the quiz on Tuesday night at the Canning 'still' the baest quiz in town!!
