Vegetarian restaurant options in or around East Dulwich

Not in ED but sure Rosendale Pub does veggie stuff and is good to. Think there was a posting about this recently -bound to find s'thing in Peckham or Brixton - abit further though. Can't think of anything in ED except for 2 mentioned above.

We're vegetarian, and we go to:

Mirash (decent Indan, at the top of LL)

The Real Greek in Dulwich Village

Olivetti

Thai Corner Cafe

Theo's Pizza in Camberwell

Nanban in Brixton (AMAZING - not loads of vegetarian options but everything is delicious)

None of these are vegetarian restaurants but they all have plenty on offer. Agree that Blue Brick is the best, but they're not always open in the evenings.

Toklas - funny you say that about Nanban - we went and couldn't find anything at all good to say about it - the service was weird, the setting was too 'light' and the food was underwhelming - perhaps we had an off day?

Spinach is nice as you've noted for mostly veggie food with some meat offerings too. Gaanapati also v good for South Indian vegetarian cookery. I eat fish but often chose vegetarian options and have had good meals at the Palmerston (although obviously the choice is limited) and amazing vegetarian pasta at Artusi on Bellenden Rad.

Also can't beat a franco manca pizza. Aneto day and night seemed to have quite a few veggie options too so could be worth a look (haven't eaten there in the evening yet!).

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
