mockney piers
I quite like Simply Indian on Tabard St. It's small and friendly and the food passes muster, but the ace up the sleeve is it's a BYO, but both they and the Royal Oak (one of my favourite pubs in the area) are happy for you to buy pints there and bring them over. StraferJack
I went to a small Indian restaurant in Tabard St recently, no alcohol and it's closer to Borough than LB but counts as in the areaIt had some interesting non-standard dishes, nothing to go wow, but I liked it. It's called Simply Indian - 25 Tabard St Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18875-indian-restaurant-recommendations-london-bridge-area/#findComment-462196 Share on other sites

BrandNewGuy
And avoid the London Bridge Tandoori. I've ended up there several times after an evening in the pub and regretted it every time... dull food and overpriced. Michael Palaeologus
Thanks all - some interesting recommendations. I agree BNG, London Bridge Tandoori is looking somewhat tired now and needs to up its act. Jeremy
London Bridge Tandoori is possibly the least inviting restaurant in London! Senor Chevalier
Was in the Royal Oak on Sat. Great boozer. Very quiet at the weekend. Rabbit stew, cabbage and several pints of Pale. Repeated on me at least as well as any decent curry. trizza
Silka is good. If you want to wander down to Shad Thames the Bengal Clipper is excellent.
