Our son has a place at an outstanding primary (corpus christi school). We are thinking ahead and wanted to know if anyone had made the leap from Corpus Christi (or another great state primary) to one of the Dulwich privates (Alleyns or Dulwich College) either at 7+ or 11+. Would love to hear your story...

Ours are at CC now. It's a great school. None seem to leave at 7+, although a few moved earlier to avoid the actual 7+ exam and got into Dulwich private schools. At 11+, a good number get into Alleyns, DC, Trinity and others. They have coaching but then even kids at prep schools seem to have coaching too.

We are really happy with Corpus - it's an excellent school and hard to get a place at.

    • No problem. I think it is also worth saying, in light of the recent Panorama programme, that we, at No-Flies, are completely independent and do not have referral arrangements with solicitors or surveyors. We believe that both buyers and sellers should be free to make their own choices on who they wish to instruct - though we are happy to provide recommendations and will try to warn people off firms with whom we have had previous bad experiences.
