Well you were half right. Fortunately Wigan 2 Birmingham 3. 8th (for 24 hours).

Oh well, that's one fewer than I predicted, so that's almost like a win.

Ho hum.

England should get through that group though they may struggle against the USA; Italy have been given a bye and I think Spain should make short work of their group before going on to become world as well as European champions.

Can I be really boring and quote my own comment from after the Arsenal Chelsea game....Was not completly convinced by Chelsea. And after today, its a little closer.

Just watched MOTD. Nice win for City! Very impressed!!

Brilliant clearance from Carvallio (spelling). Pretty amazing.

Eboue's goal line clearance from Fabregas was pretty good too! :)

3 Points, Bottom of the Table, no more points until Xmas (maybe) as we play Wet Sham on Boxing Day.

Cannot wait for championship footy and affordable prices! Really, I can't!

My predictions for World Cup groups. I think Group D is the most competitive. I'm going for South Africa to qualify from Group A - as having home support usually gives a huge advantage at a World Cup.

Group A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France - FRANCE, SOUTH AFRICA

Group B: Argentina, Nigeria, Korea Republic, Greece - ARGENTINA, NIGERIA

Group C: England, USA, Algeria, Slovenia - ENGLAND, SLOVENIA

Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana, - GERMANY, SERBIA

Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon - NETHERLANDS, CAMEROON

Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia - ITALY, SLOVAKIA

Group G: Brazil, Korea DPR, C?te d'Ivoire, Portugal - BRAZIL, PORTUGAL

Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile - SPAIN, CHILE

Pleased with our win yesterday, and Chavski reverted to type when things went against them yesterday. John Terry arguing with the ref over every decision as was fat boy lampard, drogber falling over like he'd been shot every two minutes, at cashley hole walking away from the ref when he attempted to show him yellow. Bell end. How Belleti stayed on the pitch I don't know. You have to worry about Terry's attitude, if you're an England fan. If that's his attitude when things go against his club, what's he gonna do when other nations players wind him up? There'll be tears.
We were surprised no Chelski got sent off, what was it? 7 yellows? Unfortunate that Ade scored for both teams but we were the better team. Bring on Spuds- Proper Manchester team humiliating London !!!! (That's not controversial is it ! http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m316/LGilbert421954/Banners%20Smilies/cheeky-smiley-005.gif)

They are, agreed but they don't play in Manchester

    • It's a case of who blinks first.  But  purchasers who do this will lose all good will form the owner and will probably suffer aife changing accident as the Gods won't be smiling on them.
    • well - that is disappointing. We know the impact of foreign buyers on the housing market.
    • I much prefer Romeo Jones to >spit< Gail's, but I'm struggling to blame this on the LTN when nothing outside Romeo Jones has changed, the LTN came in 5 (!!!) years ago, and Gail's has queues out the door most days. It also is directly opposite Rocca (which serves coffee and has seating), next door to Porters (which serves coffee and has seating), a few doors along from Real Greek (which serves coffee and has seating), and diagonally across from Gail's (which serves coffee and sells baked goods and has seating). I'll be sorry to see Romeo Jones go (not least because I have a stack of stamped loyalty cards). I don't want to criticise small business owners because it's a tough old racket, but DVillage never really seemed to find its niche either as a proper deli (like La Gastronomia or The Sicilian in West Dulwich) or as a coffee shop (which is difficult when you have Megan's and Redemption right next to you, and Au Ciel around the corner).
    • Hopefully we will see something like Melbourne Grove, where all the shops that initially closed after the road closures were then replaced with new ones. I think all the units on that street are now finally open for business.
