Well done to West Ham last night as nobody else seems to want to mention it. Wouldn't have been too bad for Manc supporters getting home last night as most of then live in London. ;-)

How does it feel when an old boy does that to you? Somebody I know who is a Manc supporter tried to brush the loss off as a mere blip, but I had to point out to him that regardless of the personnel on parade, this was a top versus bottom clash, and therefore pride is a major factor. He wasn't happy.

I went to the home of football to watch a very mediocre afair, but I suppose we won and thats the main thing.

Haha, and slowly the Emerson Crane/Atila the whoever wind-up bus gathers speed.

It was a great result for WH last night. Congratulations and good luck for an extended run at the cup.

It was nice to see Fergie on the touchline, animated, like the days of old, really getting involved.

Anyway, us glory hunters can't be too disappointed with being outplayed and I'm sure that we'll use it as a lesson. That, or we're in terminal decline if you believe certain Gooners on here. :)

Just for clarification, I refer to Arsenal as the home of football, previous posts refer. As for Everton not winning, well nothing new there then.

I find it strange that it took others comments to prompt Manc supporters to grudgingly offer praise to the Hammers for their perforamnce last night. Strange, but not surprising.

Erm, I wasn't online. Unlike you, I don't sit on here waiting to trot out the same tired old lines 24/7.

In fact, I'm beginning to think you are a spambot. That would explain a lot. Also, what was grudging about it. I said they won fair and square and congratualted them. At this point, if it was Arsenal, you would probably be bleating on about how they bullied you into losing, or the weather was a bit cold for your boys. :)

And you have the nerve to say my lines are tired? Touched a nerve yet again have I? Oh yes, and we didn't lose.;-)

Blues making the semi-finals to. And no sweeter way of doing than beating the V*le. Only regret not being able to make it up there this evening. And now I'll have a whiskey in my whiskey and see who we get in the draw.

A quiet encounter in East London awaits. So that's Millwall and West Ham both away in the same week!

Income generation is not to be sniffed at these days PGC, but I take your point

I haven?t liked the finger wagging at the BBC and Times for running the FIFA allegations and the huffy ?the timing hasn?t helped?. No it probably hasn?t but then that isn?t the main consideration if the allegations are true

But let?s assume that corruption is rife and blah de blah, the WC is going to end up SOMEWHERE, so I would be happy to see it here. Then again, if it goes somewhere else I won?t be weeping into my pillow

I?m still recovering from the Gary Linaker story tho

Really hope we get the World Cup, if we don't the next likely date is 2030. Some FIFA officials are no doubt very dodgy but liked the line I heard on the radio the other day "No doubt the BBC will be running a Panorama special on the royal family 3 days before the Royal Wedding".

    • Copleston centre hire for adult parties
    • Most churches rent out halls for children's' parties but rarely adult parties, Christ Church only does afternoon parties,   The East Dulwich Community centre hires out halls to 9 pm only and all music needs to be on a sound restrictor as is in a residential area. St Johns with St Clements have a small hall but not sure if they allow adult parties. Nunhead Green has a newish community centre with a couple of different size halls. Most places seem to charge around £40 ph  with a deposit of £100/200 (returned if no damage or excess cleaning needed.
    • Hello, Recently there have been various comments made on the forum which have resulted in heated discussions being had. I for one, hold up my hand and wanted to personally thank whoever is keeping the forum going.. remember when it was likely to close. We are all adults and should known when it is right to continue or just ignore or if really feel it necessary comment via pm. I have had a long relationship with the forum and have bought, sold, offered advice and in deed made friends on the forum over the years. It is a public forum after all and everyone is entitled to express their opinion and is also free. I am not as tech minded as most but with the season of good will approaching and-knowing in this economic climate how many people are  struggling, I  thought it would be a lovely idea, to perhaps set up a just giving page to raise funds for a local charity who might appreciate a contribution towards their Christmas festivities… On a practical side, might just be to complicated to administer as I am sure all have charities that we support so my other thought was not me, as I am useless but to set up a just giving page and whatever monies are raised, perhaps contribute to the festivities that use to be run by local shops or whatever.. Maybe even use a local church hall and just make it special for perhaps folk that find it difficult to access events or no access for say wheel chair users.. guess really, one is looking for guidance from the church and of course volunteers. Shoot me down if you must or feel the need but this is my view and no, sadly I won’t be around in the months before Christmas but can help remotely.
