Behave yourself. When asked yesterday by a reporter after the game if it was a penalty, Berbatov was so embarrassed he couldn't look the man in the eye and looked very uneasy. Guilty conscience bothering him do you think?

You do realise you're agreeing with Big Sam don't you? ;-)

To be fair, most teams have had players who will take a tumble a bit too easily. Man U have just had a couple of particularly annoying ones, like Ronaldo. I think it is especially annoying when a player of undoubted ability makes a habit of cheating, because that is all people think of. Ronaldo is a great player, but I for one will always remember him for the dishonest side of his game.

And before anyone says anything, yes, I know that Liverpool players have been as guilty as anyone of taking a dive on occasion, and I hate to see it.

As an aside, did anyone see Warnock's comments about Diouf? I'm no Warnock fan, but I am totally in agreement with him on this. Diouf is just a nasty little piece of work. If he'd not been a footballer, he'd probably have been stabbed to death by now for spitting at someone harder than him.

I know Keef, very scary. Even more scary is poor old West Ham and the probability of ending up with him as their "saviour". God help them. Diouf is a nasty excuse for human life, and lets hope nothing untoward befalls him eh?

I'd not heard that Diouf may be heading to West Ham. I suppose he could do a job, as he does have talent, and is a fighter on the pitch. Unfortunately, he seems to forget that being a fighter doesn't mean you can actually punch people.

He's scum, but if he can do a job for the hammers, I say good luck to them, just as long as they off load him once something better comes along.

Besides, I'm sure he'll end up wherever Big Sam gets his next job...

Excellent appointment for Liverpool. It's only the Merseyside derby next Sunday and that's got to be a must see next weekend for any neutral at the moment. I'm hoping to get a ticket for the Spurs v Man Utd game but I'm not holding my breath. I'll watch it in the pub if I can't go.

So Emerson the two teams you obviously hate the most Man U and Spurs, would a draw make you happy? Or perhaps a win for Spurs would be a guilty pleasure you could secretly enjoy?

I thought Liverpool's treatment of Hodgson was awful. I am not talking about the sacking itself but how they did it. Cancelling the press conference, but making him do an interview for Liverpool TV to talk about the Utd v Liverpool game when everyone knew he was getting sacked. Surely they could have made the decision before then, a bit of a shambles made even worse by the fact that apparently they then sacked him by email, I think Hodgson, or any other manager deserves more than that.

I actually despise CSKA Fulham more than any club, just shows you how wrong you can be.

I agree it wasn't done in a good way, if the speculation can be believed. I am pleased however, that finally our business is being done behind closed doors without snidey leaks to the press.

It's worth mentioning that Benitez was treated in the same way and was in fact on holiday when it happened. I didn't notice any outrage then.

not sure the media is xenophobic per se. Witness Mourinho, he had them eating out of his hands. Wenger, lauded as one of the greatest managers of the modern era... Further down, another 'foreigner' doing very well at Brighton and being touted (by the media) as a potential great premiership manager.

What can be believed is that Hodgson was hung out to dry. I fail to see a reason where if Liverpool were able to cancel the press conference they were not able to agree a statement on him leaving without him being made to go on Liverpool TV to talk about a match they plainly knew he would not be in charge of. Not sure about the details of the Benitez sacking but those owners were never the best at PR.

I am sure with Dalglish in charge there will be a return to old fashioned ways of keeping things in house and returning to "the Liverpool way" of doing things on and off the pitch.

Will be interesting to see if Glen Johnson is as lively on twitter again, after some criticism from Merson he reacted by saying ?Comments from alcoholic drug abusers are not really gonna upset me and who is Paul Merson to judge players, he was average at the best of times,?. Not sure we will see tweets like that for a while. When will players realise a tweet is not the same as a conversation with your mates down the pub.

    • For every person like OP that moans their doorbell was rung and there was a knock on the door, there's someone else moaning that they didn't hear the delivery drivers. If you've ever done delivery work you'll know that loads of people's bells don't work. The delivery drivers probably goes to a hundred doors a day: press bell, knock door, drop package, move on. If you don't like delivery drivers, insist on delivery by Royal Mail where the workers have wages and a union - or just stop ordering shit online that's artificially cheap. But most of us (me included) don't want that
    • If someone comes to my house and bangs my door and slams my gate, I'd speak to them about it nicely and ask if they would please not do that. And then subsequently less nicely if they keep doing it, ending in reporting them.  We don't slam doors at home and I don't put up with that either. I can see us moving to a culture where we bribe drivers to be nice by tipping them, but we shouldn't have to. It's not necessary - does not matter if they are on minimum wage or not, or if society means that delivery services are outsourced or whatever reason anyone would like to concoct.
    • We’ve got a gap on the roof of our shed that needs patching  don’t want to buy a huge roll so hoping someone has some leftover  happy to collect/reimburse
    • I never said I thought it was targeted or deliberate. There also has never been a “stand off” or confrontation, we’ve spoken to them in a friendly manner about it. Our experience is they don’t seem to care. That’s the frustrating thing for us, if someone politely raises a concern at least take a second to reflect. Treat others how you would want to be treated.  I don’t want them to lose their job, far from it. But considering it could cost me a days work to fix any damage, I’m within my right to try prevent it.
