If I can remind you of my team for this year. They appear to be top of the Premiership as we speak....and a favour from Spurs tomorrow could make it up to 5 teams with a chance for the title...

Interestingly you can still get >7/1 on Man City to win the league (and 45/1 on Tottenham).

Arf! That really made me laugh. Mac is so smitten with O'Neill.

Really looking forward to today's footy. Obviously I want Spurs to turn Man Utd over but I'd also love to see Liverpool win as well. COYS!

More matches than posts today on the football thread.......poor.

Spurs now 50/1. Seems the market thinks they missed a chance. But surely they are better than 50/1. Worth a pound of Jah's money I would have thought at only 8 points behind.

There seems to be an "assumption" that Man United will improve further and win the league. But who knows.

I think it's good etiquette to not post the results up on here before MOTD for those who do not know the results and want to watch it without knowing what they were. Spoils the enjoyment somewhat otherwise.

Also - Mac, I think Spurs have a better chance of winning the Champions League than winning the Premiership.

Spurs v Mancs was an anti climax, and had spurs gone for it after the loony Rafael was sent off, they would have emerged victorious. As for Rafael, the first offence was a straight red for me, and no different from Gerrards a week back, so he can have no real complaints. But he responed like a Tasmanian devil to his sending off, and Rooney felt obliged to stick his oar in and got a deserved yellow for his trouble.

The saddest sight of the weekend was a dejected Avram Grant at the end of the Arsenal v West Ham game. The sight of the directors sat up in the upper tier like some latter day emperors in a gladitoral arena was sickening. I just hope West Ham don't end up with Allardyce. Mind you O'Neil has exactly set the footballing world alight has he? Spent a fortune at Villa and acheived sod all.

I dunno, if you look at were Villa finished last year (6th) and bar Arsenal spent less than the other 4 in the top 6, then they finished where they should of. Look at where Villa are now. See? No nor do I.

Anyway the situation at West Ham is a disgrace, the last thing we needed were a trio of publicity hungry pillocks lording it over Upton Park. Anyone notice David Sullivan's outfit? It says a lot about the man.

I also can't believe I found myself agreeing with Alan Green the other day when he said, "exactly why does Karen Brady need a newspaper column, is it so she can undermine the manager inside AND outside the club"

I'm beginning to wish for relegation, if only to put those three in their place.

Still, even tho they pontificated loudly about sensible wages last season, their new signing on 90k a week played a blinder on Saturday. A blinder for Arsenal admittedly but even so

They are odious aren?t they? To see people like Grant and O?Neill have to deal with them is unedifying to say the least

    • Wow, never had a disappointing meal there since they opened.. guess like every establishment, depends on the chef.. All for allowing an off day - good of you to post.. much better than chains - had awful service at Gail’s for eg..be it cake and tea or a meal.. They are so nice and accommodating..
    • "I tried Viet Flavour and was disappointed.  Their summer rolls especially were not at all good, stodgy and flavourless.  Pho-OK.  I'm hoping it will get better " Back in June I posted as above.  I am glad to report that either the first time I went the restaurant was having an off day, or they have upped their game.  I ordered the same things.  The summer roll was exactly as it should be, and had a lovely dipping sauce. The Pho was delicious.  My brother who was with me wanted to give it 10/10 but I always think you should leave room for improvement so gave it 9/10.  Staff were lovely.  I am so glad because I love Vietnamese food and now think I have a very good one just round the corner.
    • So do I, and I started it!!!  I have changed title.

But people will still give him a pass they won’t starmer    see also:  Trump vs Biden
