I'd have thought that not having to use him made it an even better win.

I was only half paying attention yesterday so at one point when I'd woken up I reached the conclusion Lampard wasn't playing. Finally I saw him. He can't have been much involved though.

At least we didn't lose to team bottom of premier league, and our side doesn't "boast" a player on ?250K a week. What great value for money he's provided for his clubs investment.

Still didn't lose to bottom club, and still don't pay over the odds for players. Lead now only four points and the Mancs have got to play us, Chavski, and Liverpool.

Well, I guess we'll see. I think there's a few in your team who you've paid over the odds for. Rosicky, Arshavin, Bendtner for example. The Arsenal have had an excellent season and looking back over the results they've had they are unlucky to be second. It's going to be an interesting run in.

We'll see indeed.

CELTIC could be set to lose one of their top players as Manchester United prepare a summer swoop for defender Emilio Izaguirre, according to reports.

The Honduran international impressed during last year?s World Cup in South Africa and has been on the radar of some top clubs ever since.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was at Ibrox for Sunday?s Scottish Cup tie between the Old Firm casting his eye over Izaguirre and it?s now believed he will track him for the rest of the season as a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra

What? No offices in Manchester?

Erm, it's the corporate office...sponsorship, global client stuff. The club administration is still at OT and Carrington. Maybe you should read the article rather than just picking out random words that suit your (rather poor) joke.

    • I've now read the Telegraph article. The journalist Kate Wills @katewills stole the closing "jazz [jizz] and [spit] roast" gag from David Peckham. If the Telegraph's geriatric readers got the joke they'd choke on their kippers. As someone who walks right past Belair House at weird hours (because I am weird), the sex parties are a lot less bothersome than other events Belair House puts on: for example, the club nights when the promoters illegally block parking on Gallery Rd in front of Belair House, when bouncers are posted on the front gates blocking access to a public park, and when the pavement and verges are strewn with flyers and booze bottles. Ms Waterhouse and Heaven Circle: you're welcome back any time. There's a bunch of antisocial fuckers plagueing Belair House - but it's not the sex parties...
