Having seen it for the first time, absolutely agree with Mr Quids. If you are attacked, which he was, then you are enitled to take a little revenge. Live by the sword and die by the sword.

As for my bet. Spurs on the drift from 22 to 32....long way to go though.

I, too, agree with Master Quids and cannot help but sympathise with the goalkeeper. There but for the grace of God...

But then - presumably - there is the issue of reasonable/unreasonable force (he was wearing studs) etc...

Still, the red card has since been rescinded.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing and also feel it was deserved, after all, he could have been some psycho with a knife or whatever and I would have the same response if someone was walking towards me like that ... just think the ref thought it was excessive force. Also liked that the team walked off the pitch in response.

Yes thank god for that!!! I was starting to panick about how the heck I would find a parking space.

Had to look this one up out of pure curiosity. Presumably the referee was relying on one (or more) of these rules, Mr. Medic.

A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off and shown the red

card if he commits any of the following seven offences:

1. is guilty of serious foul play

2. is guilty of violent conduct...

...6. uses offensive or insulting or abusive language and/or gestures.

I am really surprised at how broad and unspecific these rules are. What, for example constitutes "serious foul play"? I didn't find a "definitions' section".

So what was the keeper supposed to do? Wait to get assaulted before he defends himslef. Thankfully it appears common sense has prevailed and the red card has been rescinded.

Look no further than Roy Keane's "foul" on Alf Hinge Haaland.

This episode was disgraceful quite how he escaped legal proceedings is beyond me. And before anybody says anything, It's not just because he was a united player, its just unforgiveable. Full stop.

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
