Patronsing bull shit and nothing less than I expect from you.

Lets hope he does appeal and is successful. I don't recall the same hue and cry being raised after the recent horror tackles from Glenn Johnson and Lampard. Some cycnics might argue its because they are England squad players and had a baring on the refs decision. If the footballing authorities in this country want to be taken seriously they should have accepted Rooneys international ban and not appealed against it. Double standards at work?

As a fan of the club since 1968, I refuse to follow a manager or group of players blindly or without question. To do so would give the illusion that as a group we feel all is rosy when patently it is not. If you wish to blindly and sheepishly follow your manager and players that's your prerogative.

As for our run in the champions league this season, I'll be sitting the stand watching and enjoying it all the more knowing that for all the huge investment made by both Manchester clubs in the previous transfer window, you didn't qualify for the knock out stage. Wonder what the reaction would have been had that been Wenger.

Thanks Red Devil - I don't find your remarks at all patronising.

TBH I get fed up of all the petty squabbling and dick swinging by the male forumites on this football thread - perhaps I will just learn to ignore all that and post more often!

Unlucky Palace, losing on pens is never nice.

In a bit of a dilemma about tonight's other semi-final...not a question of who I want to win, more like who do I want to lose more...as Citeh are more of a threat in the League I'll plump for them as the team I'd like to see lose, hopefully another tiring 90mins, extra time + pens...don't worry Liverpool fans, normal service will be resumed on Saturday ;-)

Joe Hart for not having the same work ratio as opposing GKs ! RD, I see you continue to call us "Citeh"- take it your not Mancuninan

I admire your fighting spirit maxxi, many have tried, but alas many have failed too...think Mockney 'Charlton Athletic' Piers, he too thought it would be one season on the Nunhead and Sydenham Southern Forum, but sadly he's now trawling the depths of the West Dulwich Forum...another relegation for him and total obscurity on the Herne Hill Forum beckons
So, Man City are not going to appeal against Mario Balotelli's four game ban. Anyone still think he's innocent? And Howard Webb says he didn't see the incident but TV replays clearly show him pointing to the offence. Perhaps he just didn't have the balls to send him off.

This was true up to August last year but since the WDF was reactivated it failed to attract the necessary interest and has been stripped of accreditation by the FA (Forum Association).

Rumours that two prominent members of the SFA (Sydenham Forum Association)were to be parachuted in to save it proved unfounded and as Mockney's status is Tevez-like in its uncertainty and possibilities all relegation/promotion issues have been postponed for a season.

    • Good luck with this - there have been several requests over the years by students needing to do infant observations.  I was lucky when I did mine  - way back in 1994 at a local nursery. Have you tried contacting the NCT to see if there are any local groups who would be willing to participate? As a mother of 2 - found the observation very informative - mine was a 2 year old child as my course stated a child under 3. Got my highest grade for this project so was very happy.
    • Happy birthday! I've just read a bunch of your reviews and really enjoyed it. You write Interestingly without being too ornate, and you manage to give a really good insight into the "vibe" of a place as well as the food. Totally agree with your review of Rocca - it's simple, great food in a friendly atmosphere at a completely reasonable price, esp considering the location.
    • Hello,  I am a 52-year old mother and an integrative counsellor who lives and works in West Dulwich, SE21. In mid January I am starting a new training in Parent Infant Psychotherapy (helping parents to bond with their babies), and a key component of the course is a 24-month infant observation.  I’m looking for someone who will be giving birth ideally in January or February and who would allow me to observe their baby for one hour a week until the baby’s second birthday. The baby can be awake or asleep, playing, feeding, eating or interacting with carer/s and family members - whatever they normally do at that time.  The purpose of the observation is to enable me to gain a thorough knowledge of very early infant development and to develop the capacity to maintain an observationally minded and non-judgemental attitude in my work as an infant-parent psychotherapist.  I will provide enhanced DBS clearance and I’m happy to answer any questions.  Please forward this email to anyone who might be interested, email me at [email protected] or call me on 07949716043. I would be extremely grateful for any leads. Many thanks,  Millie  Millie Burton, MBACP Integrative Counsellor [email protected] millieburton.com
    • I keep my promises...had the Sweet & Sour Chicken.  It was great - the best sweet and sour dish I've ever had. The chicken itself was good and the sauce seemed home made with real vegetables and pineapple - it is NOT the red sugar sauce goo you get elsewhere.  The Korean fried chicken was very good but the sweet chili sauce was much more chili than sweet - just far too spicy for me. There is a honey something sauce that I will get next time. Egg fried veggie rice was good as a side.  We also ordered the chicken katsu curry which was polished off so quickly I didn't get to taste it. It looked very good tho. SD is not like Magic Wok used to be - cheap and filling but junk food. (Don't get me wrong - I went often to Magic Wok). SD's food is much higher quality, real ingredients, chunky portions, freshly prepared. I'll be back, for sure.
