Well done Chelsea, great performance to see out that game after Terry once again proved what an idiot he can be.

Poor tactics from Barcelona, as Hoddle said afterwards they should have been looking to go much wider and have overlapping runs.

Outrageous dive from Fabregas, no contact at all and right in front of the 5th official who did nothing. Pleased for Torres after all the grief he has had. Geoff Shreeves, what an interview, couldn't believe his question, well done Ivanovic for not reacting.

Well done Chelsea...poetic justice with Terry missing the final. I think they will miss Ramires in the final far more than Terry, and replacing Ivanovich could be a problem too...I wouldn't fancy Boswinga's chances against either Robben or Ronaldo...maybe Essien will have to fill in.

Should be another great game tonight, Madrid are on a roll after winning El Classico, but I'll stick with my earlier prediction that Bayern will go through and win it on home turf...

To do that they are going to have to be very careful tonight against the (ahem) trickery of Real and Ronaldo as seven Bayern players are already on a yellow.

I say, absolutely spiffing performance by The Blues. Amazing night. Brilliant. I am so pleased. The chappie, 'Razors', a few pages back on this thread predicted this win and so well done to him.

Now to watch the fun as all the hangers on cluck and pray about 4th spot . . . .Up The Blues.

Well done though to Bayern Munich tonight

Oh & JT's gone up a notch (who'd have thought that possible) on the knob-o-meter

Netts

It's not what I've heard ratty. I think this is more like it though. Squad rotation.

That coupled with Harry's heart scare, court case and yes, his connection with the England job have all conspired against us but mostly the main core of Spurs players are knackered. The way things are I think 5th or 6th is about where we'll end up which isn't good enough after a season that promised so much. That's the thing about being a Spurs fan - a long suffering one at that - it's the hope that kills you.

There you go again Jah, getting ahead of yourself...before you know it they'll be leaping off the treatment table proclaiming ''It' a miracle, I can walk!'' and you'll be back to mid-table mediocrity ;-)

D Bentley...Knee Injury...No return date...yep, in more ways than one :)

Muamba's 'injury' was an interesting one...Computer says: ''What the fook do I put for heart stopped for 78 minutes''

    • Dishing the dirt is generally fine when it comes to politicians and in Farage's case he often deserves it but  nothing illegal  has been done. It is not illegal for him to give his partner a sizeable amount of money with which to buy a house and have it registered in her name. He is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger and so he most likely is making plans to minimise IHT. There is a sliding scale for IHT but basically a gift is free of IHT if the gift is made 7 years before the donor dies. Farage is 64 years old and his partner is 16 years younger. In 7 years time, if he lives that long, he will be 71 years old. Given that he smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish, his odds on getting beyond 71  years may be pretty slim.  A similar  process is followed by the "bank of mum and dad"  where parents  give money to their kids to fund purchase of a property. Many who are not cash rich will mortgage their home and so release equity to fund their kids property. We did it as have many of our friends.
