Fergies become increasingly less flammable over the years so its always nice to see him do his rabid & ruddy ref denunciation(That was well alliterative). Funny as feck. We rode our luck somewhat in the 2nd half but given our appalling lack of fortune up there usually I thought that was fair enough. Good to see yet another Sun journalist get shown up for the shit stirring tit he was. Stand up Paul Jiggins and his one man mission to upset the AVB applecart.

There might not have been any dodgy refereeing decision agianst Spurs, but there was against Utd i.e the clear foul on Nani...still, we'll move on and not keep griping on about it in years to come ;-)

Fergie actually had a relevant point about taking the role of working out added time-on from the referee, like they do in rugby - from The Guardian...

Sir Alex Ferguson complained that not enough injury time was played at the end of Manchester United's 3-2 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday, and amid the predictable guffawing about "Fergie time," he was right. Roughly, 30 seconds were lost for each United goal, a minute for the Spurs goal, a minute for the Rooney free-kick that hit the post and two minutes for substitutions. So, close to five minutes total, in a game that last only 94min 28sec ? and that's without factoring in the time-wasting that went on every time the ball went out of play for a Spurs restart.

Oui! Well done spurs.

Good to see Jarvis start - be even better when Carroll does too.

8 yellows though, Clattenburg went a bit bonkers.

Can't see Sparky surviving this one.

*waves goodbye and spots Harry Rednapp lurking in shadows under the stands...

He's been given the Chairman's vote of confidence...what shall we say, end of the week?

Indeed! Look at his record. If he's not sacked he jumps ship. I think he'll be found wanting and in the final analysis will be proved that he's not as good as he thinks he is. Unless things improve drastically he'll be gone by the end of the month one way or another.

Rangers have an equally tricky statistic to get rid of as they have yet to win away from home in the Scottish Third Division. That one could also run for a while.

Annan Athletic's home form looks a bit suspect, so you may have a chance there. Are they amateur or semi professional?

    • What is the reason for the change in name? Just curious.
    • Why change it?  You’ve got a fantastic historic, memorable name and you want to change it for something innocuous,  meaningless and empty
    • From the school newsletter:   A New Name for Dog Kennel Hill As you know we have been discussing and consulting with stakeholders about a  name change at DKH for a while. Following engagement with staff, pupils and  families, we gathered all views on a name change for the school and after  careful consideration of the feedback, the Local Committee and the Trust have  agreed with changing the school name to Grove Primary School from  September 2025.  Over the next few months we will begin a gradual process of changing our  name on signage, our website and emails etc. We will keep you updated.  We will be looking at designing a new logo to match the new school name and  will be working closely with a graphic designer to get creative. The school  council will be actively involved in this process. We will share the results with  you as soon as a design has been agreed and confirmed. We will be creating a  new school jumper to replace the old one, once the logo has been finalised. We  will phase this in over time.  We know that this is a welcoming change for some and that there are  parents and children who will be sad about the change. However, as a school  we think it will be a positive change for our school community and we will  work together to ensure that the ethos and culture of DKH will remain!
