Anyway, I think next year is going to be interesting. A whole load of new managers, Fergie gone, I think that next year is the best chance for the Arsenal renaissance to actually happen and, if they keep Bale, and Spuds are ever going to win it again the must be targeting next year. At the bottom, I think all the promoted teams look pretty average: I think Stoke, Sunderland, Newcastle (with all the uncertainty), Norwich...all must be a bit worried. I *think* the irons look solid mid-table in this league.

I see Chelsea have signed Schurrle for ?18m. Seems like a potential bargain, he's only 22.

Meanwhile, I'm pleased to see Liverpool active this summer, although I don't know much about their 2 new forwards. Seems they are preparing for life after Saurez though... I hope they can get Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but apparently there will be comptition.

Will be sorry to see Reina go if indeed he does, but Mignolet looks a good replacement.

"LIVERPOOL TO SACRIFICE JORDAN HENDERSON TO FUND VICTOR WANYAMA"

Whoever gets Wanyama for around ?10m will be getting a bargain imo. Cant see why he would want to go to a lower premiership club though (southampton/cardiff). He's already looked good against top champions league opposition, so the bigger clubs should snap him up. Arsenal are interested but typically want to buy on the cheap.

I thought Henderson improved a lot towards the end of the season. He's still only a young lad and plenty of scope for improvement but I suppose if the ego that is Brendan Rodgers doesn't fancy him and still sees him as one of Kenny Dalgish's expensive flops then that's it for him then.

I must say I enjoyed reading some of the comments here. Why was the England player smiling in the picture? Caption competition maybe.

Actually in the space of time it took me to write this the BBC removed the 'your comments' section.

Censorship of a creepy kind.

    • I think there is still a legal requirement that BT keep phone boxes that get used (average number of calls in a year?) or if there isn’t another box within a certain radius. If BT wants to remove it, they need permission from the council , I think. So, I would imagine that the council can also request removal. So, it’s down to someone to ask the Goose Green councillors to have it taken away.

    • Also it seems the PM is a bit annoyed that Rachel Reeves' story changed/amended within 24 hours. And this is why the public cares (well except those who will turn a blind eye to anything their chosen political party does). People were so sick of the lies and nonsense the Tories thrust upon us that they wanted a government that they could trust, that played by the rules. When senior members of that government do not do that it undermines trust in the established political parties at a time when the scariest political party is gaining momentum for not being either Labour or the Tories and, ironically, pitching themselves on the basis of trust.
