We talked about eventually switching spring babies to email list and collected lots today and I have a few already but please pm me your email so we can get the list started as we thought easier than having to check on the forum. x

Let me know if you need me to pick up some coffee and drop it by your house if you are still house bound. Havent seen any spots ons lil guy yet, in a way i would have loved to have it over with! Give me a shout if i can help!!

Hello Ladies,

I'm afraid I've been a bit of a sporadic friend to the Spring Babies Club, but I would be so pleased to be included on the email list.

(Have PM'd my email address to Countjc)

On another note, for those who still may be checking on here, is there anyone meeting up tomorrow? I keep failing to make it to meet-ups because I seem to have rather a grumpy baby who keeps scuppering my plans, but he's only 7 weeks so I'm hoping it's just a phase!

xx from Elisabeth

Is anyone thinking of going back to work yet ? Riley is 12 weeks old now and I'm looking to go back around september as a part time nanny and was hoping for a child of the same age so thought this was the best place to start , do you think it's too soon ? Is any1 looking for a nanny and open to the idea of nanny with child ? Thoughts please

Hi All

I am returning back to work mid May /June and am starting to think about a Nannyshare for our little one who will be 1 in May. I'm not sure when is the right time to look but thought I'd start now and thought this thread might catch the eye of some like minded mums. We would be looking for a family to share with, with a child of similar age in the Bellenden area as we both commute from Peckham Rye.

We're looking for 4 days a week 8-6

We're a pretty laid back friendly family and would like our little boy to have a nice friend to play with while we're out working.

We will then be looking for an outgoing energetic and caring nanny with all the necessary certificates - first aid, CRB and Ofsted registered.

If you think your family fits the bill (or indeed a nanny that will be free at this time) please PM me and we can go from there

    • A couple of updates to this terrible event:   1) In 2021, two cousins (one from Penge and one from Streatham) were convicted of murder and sentenced to a minimum of 23 years in prison. The Southwark News has a summary of the awful day. https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/dulwich/donnell-rhule-dulwich-knife-murderer-cousins-sentenced-to-life-for-killing-18-year-old/    2) Last week, a female prison officer from Forest Hill was sentenced to eight months in prison for pursuing a relationship with one of the two murderers while at HMP Brixton. https://metro.co.uk/2025/12/15/probation-officer-admits-relationship-prisoner-hmp-belmarsh-25501445/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/38203627/probation-officer-jailed-illicit-relationship-murderer-secure-prison/
    • The Commons Public Accounts Committee questioned both the CEO and MD of Capita yesterday, at their last meeting before the recess:  https://committees.parliament.uk/event/25889/formal-meeting-oral-evidence-session/.  In October they'd already expressed concern that Capita might not  be able to efficiently retake over responsibility for the administration within the timescale. Given the joint statement recently issued by Capita and the Cabinet Office I'm not sure that contacting an MP is going to add much, other than venting what I think most of us can probably appreciate of what those affected are likely  to be thinking and feeling; unless perhaps, and I hope it's not needed, to report on deficiencies in the immediate rescue actions.

    • Two for Ratcliffe, the obvious one:   And one simply because it has the word  "You are nothing but blind fascists" in it.  Oh and a good song too.   Haven't listened to this for years.  Bloody good!
