Hi

I'm bored, bored, bored of cooking the same stuff & am feeling really uninspired as to what to have for dinner this evening, even pretty pictures in cook books aren't getting me in the cooking mood. Also I'm feeling like a lump at the moment, so want to cook something relatively healthy!!

Any ideas would be great? Otherwise beans on toast for us this evening!

Thanks

I'm feeling exactly the same!! I meal plan ahead so I can get what I need in the weekly shop. Fancied a change from the usual 15 meals or so that everyone likes this week. So got a whole new menu for this week.

For tonight were having pasta with mascarpone, garlic, parmesan and spinach. Quick, simple and oh so yummy!

Soooo.... a glass of red & reading some of blog suggestions, inspiration has finally come!! On the dinner menu tonight.... sweet potato & butternut squash chips, falafel & haloumi. Thanks all, Sylviamaria love your blog & yes isn't St David lovely!

Now what will I cook tomorrow?!??

Dinner tonight sounds great! I m hoping to post again soon - once i ve settled back to London routines. My mac n cheese recipe is quick and easy if u like.. http://bighungryfamily.blogspot.com/2011/06/macaroni-cheese.html you can change the cheese to what u have at home.

Bon appetit x

Yes that thread, thanks i have been meaning to try and find it again! and no, sadly my two are a bit sick and i had party clean up duty so we've been home all day and not in the park :0(

Going to try and get the little ones into bed on time today and browse the new food blogs, thanks to those who posted them!

At the risk of being a total opportunist, I'm a food blogger, someone mentioned us before, www.crumbsfood.co.uk. We do a whole section on food for grown ups - things that are quick to knock up after the kids are in bed, and all you want is some decent nosh (and a glass of wine - we have wine recommendations from our own in-house sommelier, darling). Here you go...http://crumbsfeedyourfamily.blogspot.com/p/food-for-grown-ups.html Hope it helps.

    • I was bitten by a smallish dog (black terrier type), in lead, yesterday afternoon (Monday 2 March, approx 1.15pm) at the corner of Heber Road and Cyrena Road.  Nothing too serious, but I have a small wound on my calf and a hole in my jeans. The owner (a middle aged woman) couldn't control her dog, pretended it didn't happen and did a runner.  I managed to take a picture of her as she walked away.  Not a great picture but if you recognise her could you please DM some info so I can report the incident?  If only to ensure that she is spoken to, as this is obviously a dangerous dog and is not under control... Many thanks.
    • I've got no wish to discuss this  again. I've already given my views on a previous  thread in the lounge. I take it you won't be voting Green, but I'm wondering quite where you are coming from with all these attacks on them? Where do your political sympathies lie?  This thread was supposed to be about James McAsh's move away from Labour 🙄 Anyway, it is hopefully another nice day and I'm off to do some gardening.
    • We've got a pair of Dunnocks busy nest building in our bay tree.
    • Yes!  Oh dear. I guess all you can do is feel sorry for them and be glad you are not like that.
