They all sing two songs from this week onwards. I do think the right five acts are left and I can't really pick a winner. I like all of them. I think Marcus needs the win more than the others. Little Mix and the girls will all get picked up.

Male winners don't tend to do very well though. Matt Cardle's album sales are low. Joe McElderry, Leon Jackson and Steve Brookstein all flopped and Shayne Ward was dropped eventually too.

Yes, I said that last week.....

I said it again this week.....

And will probably say it next week too!

I will continue to say it until they are voted out, because I think they are the best act & I want them to win.

P.S. Janet deserved to go.

PMs

- as a session singer

- which means the in-fighting "I'm the best singer you little bich?!" is about to begin

- ssems the voting public this year hated the obvious attempts to influence them (mischa b) and voted against what they saw as Cowell and co.'s wishes so I wouldn't bet agin her.

Which leaves Marcus to be the new Joe McElderry(?) and be waiting tables somewhere near you soon...

You reckon? I'd rate it as one of her less good performances (and that pre-song rap was cringe-worthy). She's quite average with a dreary ballad. That attempt at Whitney Houston a few weeks back was sleep inducing.

Give her something with an R&B kick that she can belt out and it's a different story. Her version of 'Proud Mary' a few weeks ago was pretty damn good and she's the only person I've heard that's even come close to Adele with 'Rollin in the Deep'.

She'll be signed up and out with her first album before the end of next year. It'll be promoted properly and will do well. Not quite what happens to a session singer is it? She's much better than that and you have to remember how young she still is.

Little Mix are overall better singers than the Spice Girls (Mel C being the only person who had a half decent voice). Everything will depend on how they are managed and how good the songs are that are written for them. But again, I fancy their chances. JLS were often off key with their xfactor performances but have done very well for themselves since.

Agree on Marcus following Joe McElderry, but think he will have a great future in musical theatre. Matt Cardle's Biography *cough* has already made it to the shelves of poundland.....looking ominous for him too.

JLS got lucky when Cowell pulled out on agreement to sign them and they were picked up by Epic. Otherwise they would have been churning out Westlife-style dross and on the scrapheap by now.

I totally agree with that Loz. Even Joe McElderry has managed to sell twice as many copies of his Christmas Covers Album (signed to another label) than he did copies of his Cowell winner's album (before being dumped by Syco of course). Leona Lewis has been made completely boring as well.

In many ways it's better not to win the xfactor.

As an aside, Micha B is in talks with Missy Elliot for a collaboration and Kelly Rowland is keeping her hand in too. Can't see Cowell letting her go to any other label but his own though.

    • Yes, I think people who don’t use their food waste bin are less likely to vote Lib Dem or Green or Labour as they think it’s a woke type of thing to do, like solar panels and other renewables.
    • But we’re not in Canada so why celebrate their recent election? Wasn’t their winner our Bank of England director up until his defection to his homeland of Canada? He caused chaos  in this country with his put down of everything British and his many dismal words about the effects of Brexit on this country.
    • I expect that they consider it should be a free choice what to do with your waste, and that segregating it is a waste of money, no doubt it's all a woke conspiracy.  I expect that others are more up to speed with Reform policies. I should have asked Nigel when I was drinking with him.  Well within the vicinity of him in Westminster pubs a couple of times.
    • Let's see how a Leader and party that thrive on division and demonising elements of our society actually do when they have to deliver. Let's hope that the two main parties don't consider that the best way to fight Reform is to become like then. Even less reason to visit the small town where I grew up.  Not a cause for any joy or celebration. Happy to celebrate the Canadian result.
