"Please help"

Ok, here goes with the help (not that you appear serious about taking any advice or help - you just seem, with respect, to be time wasting)...

Advertise it at a realistic market price (whether running or not - presumably if the buyer has to fix it the market price will be lower than if you fix it first - either way, there is a market price. Your problem has been that you seem to be inhabiting a parallel universe when it comes to this particular attempted sale. ?450 or ?400 is so over-priced it is a joke - surely you must have worked that out by now?!

There - done - it's hardly rocket science.

Starts afresh with a new thread, otherwise you have all the previous shenanigans.

re: your bike, have you reported it. checked places like gumtree, have photo's and a description, or people won't know what to be looking out for.

    • Apologies on the tardy reply, but thank you everyone for your responses and suggestions! Unfortunately I couldn't attend the recent EDF drinks because of work (I know right). But will absolutely keep eyes peeled for the next one and try and come down!
    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
