Hi,

Forget about after school clubs. There are hardly any available.

It seems like a lot, but they are age restricted, so only

A very few to choose from. Go on their website and do

Some research.

The facilities are rubbish (sorry, but true) but to be

honest, both my kids (and me too now) are very happy there.

Great teacher, all down to earth, good atmosphere ...

All very good. And l like the new head, made a great

Impression.

Errr thanks. I have obviously read their website. What I am looking for is a parent's assessment of the value the after school clubs offer - thank you for that.

Is it an academic environment or a more nurturing one? I heard that the current head allows children access to her during the day and I cannot decide if this is good- eg for support vs bullies etc - or a well intentioned waste of her time.

    • I don't want to name a shop, but I have twice at this busy time of year had an issue, and yesterday was overcharged when buying a number of small things. If you are using a shop which doesn't give an itemised receipt, or doesn't give a receipt at all, just be aware that it might be a good idea to check that you are not paying over the odds (and if using cash, that you are given the right change for what you handed over). When staff are busy they might make mistakes.
    • There's not enough people talking about this - I've often worried about it too  One busy staff's mistakes will not make my pockets lighter, thank you very much. Thanks Sue and all the best for the new year.
