Yeah but it's Time Out's list...absolute nonsense of course, but I have forwarded it to friends in Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, Paris and New York!

It's ok, you don't have to sully your browser history wih the Mail. Here's the Time Out link: https://www.timeout.com/coolest-neighbourhoods-in-the-world

Of course Peckham is the coolest place in London!

People who make fun surely have not been there recently (probably pass Rye Lane using the bus from the station).

Among others : Peckham Festival (have you been??), Peckham Levels ( https://www.peckhamlevels.org/ ) and the eateries there, Frank Cafe roof top bar, Bussey Building (and the best club night in London Soul Train (seriously just go you don't need to be a millennial!), restaurants and bars like Peckham Bazaar, Aside ( http://asidelondon.com/ what a gem!), Peddler, Artusi, Forza Win ( https://www.forzawin.com - read the Guardian review ), Miss Tapas, 200 Rye Ln, etc....plus it's a creative hub with many artists and small businesses ( https://www.copelandpark.com ).

To be honest I'm quite glad to live few bus stops from there.

Not sure what you mean alex but I can't wait to read my paper version of the Daily Mail everyday!

Loads going on in Peckham now... I almost never go to Lordship Lane in the evenings these days (still like it during daytime though).

Although looking at some of the other entries on that list... West Village? Maybe in the 1960s!! Wan Chai? OK if you like "Irish" pubs and/or Filipino working girls. Sanlitun? Shopping malls and tourists.

Brain Sewer: ?The coolest part of the ?11th coolest neighbourhood in the world? is surely where I found myself yesterday, by the bins at the back of Rye Lane Market where it comes out onto Elm Grove.

The bloodstained mattress, the scattered chicken parts and the clever addition of the stench of piss was an urban art tour de force.

The intelligent use of the screaming guy on the bench added a frisson.?

Paul Dacre left at the end of August.

Anyone who does read it see any change (if you want to out yourselves) ?

I stopped looking at it online after their appalling headlines about the judges, but I see the headlines on the late night paper reviews and there doesn't seem to be much difference with respect to Brexit. Apparently the new remain supporting editor is backing Brexit, just not as vociferously...

That's all part of the excitement of it surely :D

Joking aside, there are loads of thing going on in Peckham right now, you don't even need to go up Town for a night out with the variety of eateries, pubs and events. They opened up the old waiting room at Peckham Rye station on Saturday, which had been boarded up since 1962, the old decor looked brilliant. I hope they re-open permanently https://openhouselondon.open-city.org.uk/listings/6995

    • Wow, well served with local supermarkets then…  Agree with ATM.. good c position to been mugged or cloned card - prob why not been considered before. Wasn’t there one outside post office and still  is2where people were abit nervous of using? Hope I am wrong but won’t see me rushing to use it…sure lots of folk will benefit thou. Not a great fan or user of Iceland but when it closed years ago people complained..  Guess they only b look at bigger sites - can’t recall an express one but a pity to those who frequent the store. Strange that Tesco can use it as local but Iceland can’t - guess it is  power of large supermarkets. Personally would have  loved an Aldi or Lidl but  clearly site to small. Only grocery stores left to come are Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl…
    • I'm paying £31 pcm for full fibre 300, whatever that is. I'm not sure it's a particularly good deal now, but I did a comparison at the time I went onto it, and it was then. I don't have a landline any more, and my mobile is with iD, who piggyback off 3. I don't usually have any problems,  except once a few years back when the whole 3  network (?) went  down for quite a long time.
    • I have Plusnet too.   I recently (August) had some problems with WiFi connection on different days but and the turning off and turning on didn’t work.  The WiFi didn’t work for quite a few hours - overnight in one case but eventually rectified itself.   Would be interested to know how much other people pay for Plusnet. I also have a landline with them as the mobile signal is bad inside house.  That is with EE and I want to change from them to another provider.
