I often wonder what lengths I would go to if I was unemployed/unemployable, skint, had a family/habit to feed and felt trapped and desperate. Short of violence that is.

And if you can't do the time then don't do the crime but I'm pretty sure I'd develop light fingers.

That's not to excuse the trash that did this, who probably deserve dismemberment but there for the grace of god etc.
