Where to Christmas shop nearby

We are new to the area and whilst I love the local independent shops, I need to venture further afield for adults Christmas gifts. I only have childcare for one afternoon and into the evening so was wondering where is best to go nearby that has the mainstream chain shops. Happy to drive or take public transport. Thanks in advance

Bromley is good - easy to get to and loads of shops both in the Glades shopping centre and out on the high street.

Also Bluewater in Kent, just off the A2, which is one of those fully enclosed out of town shopping centres with loads of parking and late night shopping. Takes about 40mins to drive.

Lewisham surprisingly well stocked - has Boots, M&S, Next, Wallis, an amazing shop called Tiger which is full of little bits and pieces, TK Maxx, Primark, Superdrug, a discount book shop, Peacocks, WH Smiths. Easy to get to on the bus as well... Bromley probably better but difficult to get to on public transport.

Westfield Stratford - 35mns from Forest Hill Station (when it works!). Fab place.

Croydon is easy to get to too on the east London line (from forest hill or honor oak) and has a slightly better selection than Bromley I think. Though if you're happy to drive I'd probably go to Bluewater
