I love the Guardian OBO:

"7th over: South Africa 27-0 (Smith 24 McKenzie 2)

So you have one of the world's most respected quick bowlers finally back from 18 months of injury" grumbles Dom O'Reilly, "and you need to use him as a shock bowler and what do you do? Use him as first change for Ned No-one of Nowhere, Nebraksa."

Aye, true. And the 11 have one ball between them to try and cause some damage with.

I've always maintained in a pub fight never go for the pool cue but the pool balls - much more nasty.

Anyone with me on that?

So, yeah, cricket, eh? What's all that about. Bloody Graeme Smith making us look daft seemingly!

    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
    • Well I don’t approve for a shop doing the same food to open so near - just wrong in my opinion. Why not go to the village, Peckham - foot fall would be great in Peckham and certainly more multi  cultural than ED. Village has money but doubt foot fall would be as good as ED.  At least they could have gone to the stretch leading up to Peckham Rye or why not bottom of Barry Road?? Or even North Cross Road I for one, on principal won’t be going in.
    • Heh yeah haven't even bothered to remove the emdash. The OP is AI slop as well.
    • The street directory is on Ancestry and you'll need a subscription to access.  It's reasonably easy to navigate though you have to find the page you're looking for by a combination of trial and error/guesswork.  https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/61265/images/47056_263021009499_1592-00159?usePUB=true&_phsrc=Soz1793 There is though also a general search page for London directories where the street name can be entered in the keyword field and results will take you to the specific pages. https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/61265/
