That's silly - he was the only decent thing out there yesterday. Botham was commentating when he got out and his view was if you have a flamboyant player like KP, you take the rough with the smooth.

Much as I dislike KP for various reasons, I'd rather watch him play than someone like Boycott.

No, they don't. Ended up going to the White Horse - nice old fashioned feel, great barman and only ?2.60 a pint. He turned the sound up for us too.

I really don't like the referral system! I know Flintoff gained his wicket off the back of it but I still strongly feel that the umpire's word is law - some you win, some you lose. I don't want to watch perfectly technical cricket - human element is what makes it exciting/frustrating.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

On the plus side it is good to see the windies doing well because they are a team that really deserves success but has so many hassles with money and politics confounding their efforts.

But magnanimity towards the opposition aside.

All out for 51!

5 ducks!

To score of 24!

Beaten by an innings and 23 runs when you are one of the top 5 teams in the world.!

Oh dear.

The CPT and the EDT might carry it (when they aren't showing Ireland rugby and FA Cup). With the return to the rickety old Rec Ground in Antigua, limited camera angles, no video-refereeing and a fast track, it is a nostalgic return to Test cricket as it used to be.

    • Hi, I accidentally drove off and left a red travel longchamp bag with various clothes / makeup in on Dovercourt Road earlier today... if anyone managed to pick it up please do let me know!  Nothing valuable is in it, just clothes and make-up that I'd love to get back if I can!

    • Looking at the areas which will be receiving funds, there seems to be a couple of pretty fundamental flaws with the scheme. In many of these areas, spend isn't migrating from high streets to online, there simply isn't any disposable income to migrate. No amount of tarting a place up is going to change the fact that these places are the poorest and most deprived in country - people simply have nothing to spend. Secondly, a lot of these areas no longer have an extant retail infrastructure to improve upon - it went donkey's years ago, along with the pubs. My childhood high street is getting a grant. Maybe they'll liven up Market Street by celebrating our notable locals - they could commission a Ricky Hatton mural, a statue of The Moors Murderers or a 'Walk of Shame' pavement for Harold Shipman's victims (it's quite a long street). But, whatever it is, I doubt it's going to show a decent return when the only businesses still trading are 'Bargain Booze' outlets, Bangladeshi takeaways, bookies and barbers.
