It?s raining at the cricket. They?re having some proper freak weather over there at the moment. I spoke to my parents 2 days ago and it was warmer in London than Jo?burg.

Here's an article on the 20-20 series to pass the time. http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/sport-headlines/england-to-uninvent-cricket-200911162229/

This ?journalist? from some or other ?news paper? has the audacity to ask, Are South Africa really as good as they think they are? Apparently ?writing? from a ?computer? somewhere in Cape Town. A city so beset with the English already that an extra cricket team will all but go unnoticed.

In ?his? ?article? he tries to ?say? that perhaps they aren?t. Ludicrous! Of course they are.

In support of this complete toss he compares the South African team to sunflowers which he then asserts are somehow similar to proteas. Cock! Complete cock! The most you can say is that both are angiosperms. Other than that the one is an annual crop originating in the Americas whereas the other is a type of bush only found in Southern Africa and Madagascar.

He then wades deeper into the slurry of ?metaphor? and in doing so suggests that fog descends upon Table Mountain when any cricketing journalist worth their salt knows that it rises up from the ocean (or more specifically the Devil?s pipe).

How someone without a basic knowledge of botany and the weather systems of South Atlantic coastlines could be allowed near a computerize writing device let alone allowed to voice such frankly dangerous opinions on the subject of cricket in a daily publication is unfathomable. It corrupts the integrity of the press, promotes dissidence and threatens the security of hard working people.

Hell, hand basket, gone.
