We've got to fly with easyjet in few months and trying to suss out what our requirements'll be luggage wise (have so far avoided air travel with bugglet who'll be 20mths when we go).

Any top tips on condensing luggage & do we have to pay for buggie/book it in with luggage or keep it till the gate?

Thanks in advance x

Easy jet are fine with baby equipment. You don't have to pay extra for the buggy and can take it to the gate. You can also take another piece without charge ie a car seat or travel cot.

We flew EASYJET in September, 2 under 2 and a double buggy.

Couldn't fault them, really good.

Buggy folded up at gate and priority boarding. Didn't have to pay for buggy ( you can take two items of cot/cars eat/buggy per child I think).

Worth taking a sling as you may have to wait for buggy other end.

I was really pleasantly surprised

Re sleeping gear we've got a lightweight travel cot by phil and teds that we pack inside one of our bags. http://www.mothercare.com/Phil-Teds-Traveller-Travel-Cot/dp/B003VKT6RE. It's not the cheapest but has been great for travelling. I think little life do a similar tent like one. Would have happily lent it to you but will have left East Dulwich by the time you do your trip. :(

We've never paid for speedy boarding because they let families with children under (?) 6 or 8 - cant recall exact age - board as priority after the speedy boarders & we have always got seats we are happy with that way.

The year I was pregnant they even let me on with the families - I pointed at my bump (quite big) & said "does this count?" and they waived me through!!

Couldnt fault them! I was concerned to be flying Easyjet with 2 under 2, had no real choice as there were no scheduled flights to our destination.

They were really good and extremely helpful. They came to us to ensure we boarded before anyone else that wasn't speedy boarding (v few were) and advised the flight wasn't full so not to let anyone sit with us (like anyone would want to), thus ensuring a seat for our 1 year old.

We flew from Gatwick.

    • @first mate  just Google the Green's policies and AI should summarise.  For sustainable transport this includes more initiatives to get people out of their cars as you would expect.  I've always been broadly in favour of their environmental policies, although feel they should go further on culture change. Some of their national policies are bonkers and/or unrealistic - as are most of Reform's.  Historically fringe parties could come up with nonsense, as they will never govern.  Of course whilst I don't expect that Polanski will ever be PM that other bloke could be.  Worrying times, particularly if the Greens split the centre/left vote.  It would be better if One Nation Tories could split the centre vote (and drag some of those on the right), but they don;t have a lot of influence in the current party. One particularly bonkers policy was one element of the Greens who wanted us out of Europe, not because of Europe being pro market/capitalism but because we needed a recession, deindustrialise, so we would all go back to the middle ages.  Or something along those lines.  I lost some friends because of this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03y5trr#:~:text="Protectionism against developing countries%2C savage austerity in,the case for either remain or leave. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/08/eu-reform-green-brexit
    • I've planted a meadow out front, it needs a lot of work.  It's lovely until August and then grotty until the next spring as once the flowers have died back it doesn't have a lot going for it.  Clover is the last one to flower.  It will get admiring looks when in bloom. I laugh quite loud when I pass one neighbour with plastic grass, not only is it dead to nature it is not even laid well,   I should be crying.
    • Andy did a number of jobs for me and was very reasonably priced. He's very helpful, arrives on time, pays attention to detail and a nice man. I'll be using him again and recommending him to my friends.
