hello,

My name is Raquel, I am a Pilates teacher. I have move to dulwich recently. I am going to start a class in April. In dulwich, Crystal Palace road. I am doing and offer of ?10 for group of 3 people, just for that month. Then ?15 normal price for small groups. It is a good opportunity if you just starting because you will have all the attention you need to start doing it wright from the beginning. Once you have the right technique you can enjoy any big class in the gym without hurting your body, also you will know which exercises are good and bad for you in case of injury.

I will do one to one also ?30 in april then ?40.

Thanks Raquel

I would recommend The Pilates Garden on Barry Parade by the Rye. Jen is a very clear, encouraging and patient teacher, the classes are small so you learn very accurately how to do a move and get all the benefit. She does Mat (as it says on the tin) and Studio (with substantial equipment) classes. I have been going for 3 months, I am being transformed.

I would also recommend The Pilates Garden. Jen has a lovely manner and clearly explains the exercises all the while pushing you to reach your potential. The studio is also lovely and there are lots of bits of equipment for those who prefer that which means there is always a way to help you get the most out of any exercise or work on a particular area.

    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
    • Oh I didn't realised Starmer had used the word. I don't mean they are stirring up division between themselves (ie between Reform and Greens), I mean they are stoking division within communities, and stirring up racial prejudice and religious discrimination. That is sectarianism, in my view.
    • Just to repeat the news I was given – it's not being converted into a pub. As far as I know, there's no intention of dumbing down their restaurant offering.  Although as others have pointed out, Camberwell has two pubs – The Camberwell Arms and now the Michelin-starred Kerfield Arms – with excellent food. The Palmerston used to be the only pub in ED that was of such quality, but sadly no longer IMHO.
    • The country is in a real state.  What worries me about the Greens is encouraging migration and openly offering benefits to all with visas.  Where is the money for that coming from?  As if there is spare money, as if there is growth. Where I their holistic manifesto, ensuring funds are available and this is sustainable, and regulated? Incredibly dangerous and idealistic
