Chemicals in swimming pools.

Does anyone know what chemicals they use in Dulwich Fusion swimming Pool? Is it still Chlorine or are they now using Ozone?

The 'chlorine' smell is usually caused by a lack of chlorine - actually chloramines which occur when the bacteria hasn't been killed off properly.

Apparently the burning eyes are produced by high levels of urine in the water and nothing to do with chlorine. I don't know if that's true, but I grew up in sunnier climes and we had a pool and although we used plenty of chlorine, I never had red stinging eyes.

High concentration of Dihydrogen Monoxide as well, I've heard.

I used to lifeguard in a newish pool with a UV filtration system when I was doing my A-levels more than ten years ago so not particularly new thing. However made enormous difference and didn't feel like my eyes were burning out of my skull each time I got in the pool...
