"Our" discussion? How dare you! I recall your comments though. I wasn't interested then, and I am certainly not interested now.

I'm out!

Excuse me? I'm the one who asked YOU not to PM me further! You contacted me out of the blue on account of my post on this thread. Twice! I, in addition to making the request that you no longer PM me, merely issued my responses. Perhaps you'd like me to print our communications here in order to refresh your memory.

I am not sure what has got into you UDT, I've never seen you like this.

What an ugly thread. Goodnight all.

Tw*t

There you go.

I think everyone would agree that sticks.

And what do you 'know' then, master?

"Mortgage broker dupes couple - read all about it". Well, that's me put in my place. Based upon your utterly moronic arguments we have to conclude that the entire medical profession is full of crooks and n'er-do-wells on the grounds that Dr Harold Shipman murdered some of his patients.

Shall we lock up all the Doctors too UDT?

I am just waiting for UDT to tell us 'What Katie Did Next'.

I have to say that it's bad enough UDT posting in a manner that reveals a level of ignorance, blinkered thinking and slight un-hingedness - it just takes things to a completely new level when, in light of that, he starts to big himself up as some type of super-brain.

It reminds me of a chap I worked with many moons ago who was a paranoid and rather obnoxious type, viewed with disdain by most of the women in the office, who had managed to convince himself nonetheless that he was lusted after by every woman in the place. The chasm between the reality and the self-perception in that case is reminiscent of UDT in these present circumstances.

Because even UDT can 'convert' a lesbian, as you would know if you could do research. See below the link to the Daily Star...

Well put it this way Giggirl if it wasnt her it was probably me :-)

Katie?.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ;D

And edited to add (in an attempt to move on from the poor display of 'same old same old' the thread has descended into) that I think Fred has been treated more as a symbol of the recent crisis rather than scapegoat. Whatever the rights or wrongs of the removal of his knighthood on an individual and personal level, as a man 'at the top' in a public capacity he can't have been too suprised at the backlash. Banks have always accepted the role of engine of the economy. With power comes responsibility. I think they forgot that somewhere and someone was always going to have to personify that. Fred came to be that onev in the UK. I don't think he can complain about it tbh.

As long as there is a blend of cotton wool and chopped raw liver inside that tin-foil hat all is well - no evil Thought Insertion can take place!!!

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
