You could download MgOpen Cosmetica, which is another Optima rip-off. It's open source. Unless of course you need it to be in Microsoft's "standard pallette"...

Ok got it, no it's no use for document sharing. It's not a system font and it doesn't ship with Office so unlikely to be on other people's machines. Verdana over Tahoma, personal taste. And more readable if used for paragraph text, especially at smaller sizes.

I love fonts too!


Got a whole book about them - "Just My Type" by Simon Garfield. Haven't read much of it yet though .... too many books on the go at once .....


I like "Identity" which we use for some of The Goose poster headings (though we're about to change the poster design) but it has strange spacing glitches which are very annoying if you're using it in Word, and sometimes runs letters together or puts them miles apart.


In a hurry and shouldn't be on the forum at all, so can't find an example - would have to find a pdf to post.


ETA: Just realised, if you click on the Goose link the main heading on the home page is in Identity.
