I dont think we have mentioned that Katie 1997 attempted the NAGA CHILLI CHALLENGE.

This being the eating of the naga chilli placed upon every portion of Jaflong's Naga Chicken.

She passed the test with flying colours. Others have, but have done so with some fuss, sweating, frantic huffing puffing and over-dosing on endorphins.

Katie didnt so much as flicker an eye-lid. An impressive performance.

Yeah...but it is her party trick ;-)

HelBel you would be most welcome. There is normally between 6 and 10 of us, very friendly and welcoming.

We will meet at The Actress pub at 7.15ish and then move on to Surma at 8ish.

Drop me a PM at some point, we can swap id details (pink rose, right lapel) so that we can spot you.

I may possibly have to pick up a couple of people from St Thomas's hosp but if not would love to join in!

The Actress is a big place - if I PM my mobile could someone give me a vague idea where you are, to save me forlornly wandering about gazing suspiciously at groups of strangers?

I may have a +1 as well but tbc. I?m guessing Surma on a Wet Monday night should be able to accommodate fluctuating numbers tho?

Also, not trying to be awkward with peoples' plans but given we have a new bar open this week opposite Surma (Draft House) would it not make more sense to meet there? Late in the day to be saying that and Actress is fine and dandy but just thought I?d gauge opinion

Helbel65 ? if meeting at the Actress, look for a raucous table NOT eating pizzas. Has anyone PM?d you yet?

    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661

My family, which does like fireworks have been enjoying the displays by those still with disposable wealth by viewing them from Hilly Fields. Other hills (Dawson Heights) are available. For children who have autumn and winter birthdays, a firework display is some consolation for their birthday climate. My grandchildren, being summer babies, can enjoy garden parties and picnics. Without the need for explosions and dazzling display.
