Yet another thing we can thank our American cousins for, along with McDonalds, and all the other offensive eateries that don't supply cutlery and crockery to eat your food with.

Have to hold my hands up to that one, I am guilty. Don't mean to do it, or think it's cool or anything, I just find myself doing it.

Anyway, back to I've had enough of...

... REALITY BLOODY TV!!!!!!!!! I am so so so fed up with turning over the telly to find yet another Big Brother or whatever the latest one is, forcing us to watch a group of complete f**king turds talking the biggest load of shite imaginable! And to make things worse, they play it live almost 24/7 (sorry DM)!!!!

Bruce "bloody" Forsyth still on Saturday night TV after God knows how many decades, so called reality TV shows, Jade Goody, Foxtons, spoilt little brats running around the pub while their parents do nothing, people talking loudly on their mobile phones in public, little arseholes who play their crappy music through their mobile phones on the bus, people who insist on eating food on public transport and then leave their foul smelling leftovers rotting on the seat/floor, self important suit and ties Johns, trains being cancelled, not running on time, this bloody cold weather, lousy summers when it just pisses down with rain all the time, people who wear needlessly expensive jewellery, fake tans, fake tits, fake fingernails, fake people, the Daily Mail, Daily Express, ignorant right-wing bigots, rac-ists, homophobes, supercillious Guardian reading champagne social-ists, woolly liberals, pub bores, the Spice Girls reunion, crappy pop stars with no talent, the smoking ban, fundamentalist religious zealots, the war in Afganistan/Iraq, power mad, megolomaniac egocentric self-serving politicians. blah blah blah....I could go on and on and on and on....

    • I'd forgotten about that place.  It wasn't a market as such, it was just run by one  couple. They did have some quite interesting things. I still have a mirror I got from there, which had been  put inside an old painted  shuttered window frame from somewhere in India. Mumbai I think. There also used to be occasional indoor  markets in the church hall where the cinema now is, next to where the Irish shop used to be. But if memory serves they were usually either jumble sales (do they still exist?) or craft sales before Christmas. There have also been occasional indoor markets at the church hall in Dulwich Village and the church hall at the church in Barry Road up by the Plough. There never seemed to be many people buying things at them. But it does all depend on what is being sold, whether it appeals to the local demographic,  where the market is located and how it is publicised. And, obviously,  whether it is profitable for the traders.
    • How the hell did Mad maxxi do that given the state of the rest of us?
    • "I also remember when we first moved here a small indoor market on the corner of North X road and Felbrigg rd that had bric a brac and bits of furniture..That one had some good stuff."   I remember that little bric-a-brac, at the back of the solicitors' place. Still got a block type panel from there. The old solicitors on the corner would could be a good venue for a few indoor stalls
