The thing with the fusion card is you have to have one for that particular Gym, thats why i couldn't do it before over the phone, i have a dulwich leisure centre one meself! but computer said no! I don't mind if you lot want to play for points i'd just like to hit it back and forth and see if we can get it more than 6 times over the net!

Morning All,

I followed your preparations with interest and think I may now be ready to put myself forward for a thwack about... if you are still looking for another amateur to join the crew! I haven't played (except maybe once every 3 years for 5 mins in a park!) in about 14 years but have for some reason dragged my racket around the world with me...may as well see if it still works!

If yes, what time/night and where abouts.

Thanks

Caro

Mrs Keef and I are definitely up for giving this a go, and my sister may even come. We could always take it in turns if we have one or 2 people too many... I'll probably be glad of a rest! :-S

Looking forward to it, and having ran about half a mile as fast as I could in the cold to catch a train one day last week, I decided I definitely needed to get myself fit again, as it took me ages to get my breath back!

Ahhhhhhh thank you kind sir, I have only just returned from Sunny (not) Southend having spent a long weekend with my parents. Lots of emails & householdy chores to catch up with as well as preparing myself for a nerve wracking day at work tomorrow.... will tell all on Weds ~ Cheers GG

Lifts as usual peeps, assuming the usual suspects unless I hear otherwise. One space available - meet on corner of Crystal Palace Rd and East Dulwich Road at 6.35 OR at Clockhouse at 6.40 - let me know if anyone wants it.

Since there will be quite a crowd this week, what about a post-match tipple? Who's brave enough for The Castle?

    • hah ha! On the subject of dodgy keys and also police protocol with stolen cars, my first car was a 1969 mini which you could open and start by wiggling a small flat-headed screwdriver. No wonder it was stolen. About a week later the police called to say they'd spotted it on the Dog Kennel Hill estate opposite East Dulwich station. In those days parking was free so at least I didn't receive any tickets, but I surprised the police just left a message with the address and expected me to go and pick it up. I was slightly worried I'd have to tackle the culprits myself when I arrived.
    • Great pub, great deals and great service! Food is second to none Highly recommend 👌
    • This thread is brilliant! I am glad it has a happy ending. The reference to the Punto keys reminds of the days of when you could "jiggle a lock" with a similar car key and I speak from painful memory as a kid I managed to lock the keys in our car whilst on a camping holiday in Spain. My mum and dad didn't speak much Spanish and much hilarity ensued (post event) as they tried to communicate to the driver of a similar make and model of car as to why they had flagged him down and were trying to get him to lend him the key from his ignition!
    • I highly recommend my painter and decorator Sean. I have used him for over 25years. He is reliable and charges a reasonable price.  you can contact him on 07572 779608
