I remember someone looking for a 2nd hand car which had to be an automatic. I sent her a PM. It only took her about 3 months to read it.

I think if someone offers professional advice for free in response to a question,it's polite to thank them.

Frankly though if someone wants an answer, it's far simpler to just direct them to UDT. He will have one and you won't feel the need to be thanked.

Alan Medic, you're too kind with your comments. But with your ability to analyse on the basis of grammar and spelling then I'm sure people will come to you for advice instead of me. I shall also direct the idiotic coalition government to your attention. Where you're able to solve the deficit using grammar and spelling only. As for the war on terrorism, you can small mind the terrorist into submission without having to sacrifice the lives of our troops.

I have taken the thrust of this thread to heart (albeit at an oblique angle) and have started to kick the ankles of people who do not say thankyou (Audibly FFS! and no, a smile is NOT enough!) when I move aside to allow them to pass on a narrow pavement/supermarket aisle.

It's for their own good.

I shall be attending church on Sunday for the first time in decades so I can extend my work.

It is taking up rather a lot of my time.

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
