right-clicking
Hello Is it me or do others find this sort of behaviour irksome? someone posts a question others respond, more jump in with their pennies worth, and the trail ends there NO thanks or any sort of feedback from the original poster. ????
er no. Life's a bit too short and I don't expect feedbak on all posts/advice/suggestions. Or give it always. Undisputedtruth
Perhaps it's time to stop giving out advice due to lack of gratitude. Life is too short to give out advice, hey Quids. giggirl
I think it's nice when an OP comes back with thanks/feedback but if they don't then I don't view that in a negative light. I don't perceive it as rudeness. It just is what it is. Alan Medic
I remember someone looking for a 2nd hand car which had to be an automatic. I sent her a PM. It only took her about 3 months to read it.I think if someone offers professional advice for free in response to a question,it's polite to thank them.Frankly though if someone wants an answer, it's far simpler to just direct them to UDT. He will have one and you won't feel the need to be thanked. Undisputedtruth
Alan Medic, you're too kind with your comments. But with your ability to analyse on the basis of grammar and spelling then I'm sure people will come to you for advice instead of me. I shall also direct the idiotic coalition government to your attention. Where you're able to solve the deficit using grammar and spelling only. As for the war on terrorism, you can small mind the terrorist into submission without having to sacrifice the lives of our troops. Huguenot
I told you UDT was in with government Alan, you need to be careful what you say. He's something of an expert - used to run one alongside his Premiership team ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23446-advice-sought-replys-left-no-response-from-poster/#findComment-544449 Share on other sites
Worker
How long is the OP allowed before he is deemed to have committed the crime he's complaining about? maxxi
I have taken the thrust of this thread to heart (albeit at an oblique angle) and have started to kick the ankles of people who do not say thankyou (Audibly FFS! and no, a smile is NOT enough!) when I move aside to allow them to pass on a narrow pavement/supermarket aisle. It's for their own good. I shall be attending church on Sunday for the first time in decades so I can extend my work.It is taking up rather a lot of my time.
