Builders Tea Party!

I went into the Somerfield on Lordship Lane on Tuesday to find some builders having a tea party! They were taking part in an event Somerfield were having ? they all looked very funny sipping tea and eating girly cherry bakewells ? not their usual bacon butties! Not many of them could tell the difference between Tetley tea and Somerfield?s own red label tea or Heinz baked beans and Somerfield?s own brand baked beans ? I thought that was a bit strange based on the difference in price as Somerfield?s own products are a lot cheaper than other brands! Did anyone else witness this hilarious spectacle? Good on Somerfield for letting the beefcakes take part ? it brightened up my day!

I was in Finsbury Square near Moorgate one summer's lunchtime with hundreds of other people when 3 page3 types started wandering by, actually topless, for some promotional thing...

I was in Camden market once (approx 2001), when a shit load of naked people started walking sown the street shouting. It turns out that it was an anti fur / leather campaign. Not sure if they got the message across, but certainly made the market turn round and watch!

Last year I saw a naked man striding down Denmark Hill near King's, carrying his shoes (but no clothes). Was quite crowded but nobody batted an eyelid.

My daughter was facinated by the naked cyclists and protesters we saw as we walked past a little park bit by Marble Arch!!

I did that once on the promenade in Torquay for a bet and no one batted an eyelid then either.

I wonder if the builders tea party had anything to do with Somerfield's sponsorship of Macmillan Cancer Support. Bit early for World's Biggest Coffee Morning but sounds like something they may do. Somerfields have just supported Macmillan to the tune of ?1 million. Great for people affected by cancer!
