Planning application to build a house in a back yard on Goodrich Rd,could set a bit of a worrying precedent for a lot of streets in ED if it gets through- it only takes one to get planning for more to get passed, the idea that anyone could build another house in the relatively small back yard of a terraced house seems a bit mental...

Sheds with beds - common in other, more scummy parts of London. Hope the authorites do not permit this.

...of course not, if you look at the site plan you will see that the house is at the end of a street and the 'garden' runs along another street providing independent access...any of the other houses in the street wouldn't be able to do it because they would have no means of access as their gardens are in effect 'land-locked'...it will probably fail because it's a fucking design ;-)

I really wouldn't worry about this setting a precedent. Not many houses have a garden large enough to build another building in. And only a small percentage of those that do would have appropriate access.

You need to look at overlooking innapropriate size loss of light if facing the right way.

Not In My Back Yard!

I'd be delighted if this land is used for a bungalow. At the moment it's used as a builders storage yard with a skip full of rubbish and an old toilet proudly on display.
