Good for him. Ties them into the tax / benefits / health care systems. Integration into society rather than discrimination and rejection.

These are kids who were brought by their parents, grew up American without more than hearsay contact with their parents' cultures (well, they couldn't exactly go "home" summers to visit their nan, could they?)... acknowledge that they're Yanks and embrace them as such. Points up the Republicans for the spiteful racists that they are.

I don't understand one of the criteria

They are currently in school, have graduated from high school, have obtained a general education development certificate, or are honorably discharged veterans of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States;

Does the USA really have illegal immigrants in the armed forces??

This is ignorant, partisan rhetoric. Although neither side of the political spectrum enjoys a monopoly on racism, the Democrats have had a disproportionate number of senators exposed as clansmen compared to the RepublicansSen. R Byrd (who recieved a state funeral) being a notable example

Regardless of where they come from, Democrats are, statistically, more likely to harbour racist tendancies than the right-wing. Their ideology encourages this, whereas classical liberals of old, like JFK, were more centrist than Obama's administration, who lean further left than their predecessors. With any luck we'll see a GOP victory this year.

Since it is 'statistically' I assume you can provide a link to said statistics?

I think you need to expand on this idea, its a paradigm too far for me & Ive not come across it outside the construct of Southern Democrats bludz.

There are no statistics to back this up. Yes the Republican party was founded with the abolition of slavery as one of it's core aims and yes the Southern Democrats were at the heart of the formation of the Ku Klux Klan but that doesn't mean that the democrats today harbour any more racism within their ranks than the Republicans. Pretty much all main parties in the US are right wing. There's no equivalent for example to the Labour Party, not in a historical or modern day form. American politicians are a product of the culture they grow up in just like anyone else. American culture per se is right wing.
No but racism within politics is often labelled as a right wing view. The point I was making is that culture has far more to do with racism than polical allegiance (i.e. the Souhern Democrats formed the Ku Klux Klan because they were southerners more than because they were democrats).

Ever since LBJ enacted Affirmative Action the DNC has effectively locked the African American mindset into the liberal plantation. Liberal policies since JFK's more centrist administration have sought to affirm and foster a dependance and entitlement mentality among minorities i.e - keep them dependent on our 'benevolence' and 'good will' and before they know it they won't know what to do without us. It's worked a charm, too. 90% of African Americans voted for Pres. Obama. Mainly because he's black, which is a natural inclination, but also because he promised to raise taxes i.e - more money being funnelled into welfare, which African Americans are disproportionately dependent on. They didn't take any notice of same sex marriage legislation proposed by the Obama administration, or the DADT law in the military being lifted which is diametrically opposed to the deep Christian background the majority of black families in the U.S. are rooted in. That was overridden by the opportunity to get more for less (at the expense of hard-working Americans, regardless of colour or creed). They won votes on a promise of more tax Dollars going into funding welfare programmes, which minorities often depend on. Not to mention the victim mentality that's been pounded into the minds of African Americans by successive liberal administrations and overbearing, paternalist white liberals who don't consider the African Americans capable of looking after themselves. A reflection of that can be found in various forms among the British left-wing.

All of the above keeps the African American who buys into the liberal-progressive propaganda of today's DNC a slave on th eliberal plantation. Dependence on that level should be strongly discouraged at every corner.

Saleem - please tell me what you have posted is a wind up or some kind of C&P mash up - its the most hateful, most cynical aspects of M.X / panthers / Cleaver / Newton rolled into one and vomited onto the pavemets of LordShip Lane for all to step around.

Don't think that was the point was it?

"Food stamp recipients are 37.2 percent Black and 46.2 percent White. Medicaid benefits are paid to 27.5 percent Black recipients compared to 48.5 percent White clients."

Think it was just tired bullshit from a bullshitter?

"US government writes retirement and disability benefit checks to 35.4 million recipients of whom 88.7 percent are White and 9.6 percent are Black."

Come on Nazi boy, let's see you knock the welfare figures...

I'm going to let you guess for a leeeedle bit, and then I'm going to spank you with them ;-)

How high are you going to hang yourself from before you discover that the biggest recipients of welfare are whitey boyz??

    • Well, they do turn them away from the A&E route at Kings and rightly so they employ GPs and if after triaging you’re determined to have a GP type problem you are sent to see one of the GPs on site or close to the site.
    • My bike (a ELOPS 120 step over classic from Decathlon) was stolen from outside The Belham this afternoon. I locked it up while I collected my kids, then the street was so busy that I left it there while I walked them home. Did a few other things at home, came back about 5.30pm and it was gone. Sharing just in case anyone sees it or finds it anywhere - it’s a few years old and the chain is a bit rusty/makes a clicking sound so maybe there’s a slight chance someone would dump it! Really annoying and just a reminder to be really careful with bikes. The picture shows the bike model from the Decathlon website.
    • Thanks, I didn't know that.  People are even more stupid than I thought then, if they are willing to wait hours in A&E for an ingrown toenail. I presume they don't get put at the front of the queue. Why isn't the 111 service more widely advertised? That puts you in touch with a doctor, who will advise on the phone or visit, and if necessary  you will be advised to go to A&E or they will arrange an ambulance to take you.
