Very happy to recommend Paul of Knight & Sons!

I had a fitted kitchen installed recently, and he removed all the pieces of the old one. Not an especially easy job, as all the MDF had been sitting in my back garden and was getting waterlogged and crumbly. Plus the narrow access through my house added an extra burden! On top of all that his van had broken down, but he still came through with a vehicle and his mate Steve.

Between them they completed the job in less than one hour, and even swept up the MDF debris off the street when they'd finished.

I would add that he replied instantly to my initial call, gave me a fair quote based on a couple of photos, and fixed a collection date within two days. No nonsense. Try getting a response like that from your local Council waste management team!

Another recommendation for Knight & Sons. I've just had Paul and his young assistant come round this morning to help get rid of my old furniture before my house move. They were really quick and efficient and even broke down my old sofa and wall unit so they could fit it down the narrow stairs through to the front door of my first floor flat. Will definitely use this company again in the future if needed.

Paul now has a youtube channel so if you want to see his work you can check it out here:

Just had Paul & Bob round to break up & clear a concrete base in the garden. Came when they said and cleared all the concrete & other garden rubbish. Did a good job. Paul's You Tube channel shows him doing free fly tipping clearance.

    • Looking at the areas which will be receiving funds, there seems to be a couple of pretty fundamental flaws with the scheme. In many of these areas, spend isn't migrating from high streets to online, there simply isn't any disposable income to migrate. No amount of tarting a place up is going to change the fact that these places are the poorest and most deprived in country - people simply have nothing to spend. Secondly, a lot of these areas no longer have an extant retail infrastructure to improve upon - it went donkey's years ago, along with the pubs. My childhood high street is getting a grant. Maybe they'll liven up Market Street by celebrating our notable locals - they could commission a Ricky Hatton mural, a statue of The Moors Murderers or a 'Walk of Shame' pavement for Harold Shipman's victims (it's quite a long street). But, whatever it is, I doubt it's going to show a decent return when the only businesses still trading are 'Bargain Booze' outlets, Bangladeshi takeaways, bookies and barbers.
    • Can anyone recommend the best place to watch this for free? Limited views from West Dulwich.  Maybe Dawson Heights area got a good view?
    • Yeah, who doesn’t pine for their youth? But it doesn’t alter the fact that in that in the post war period, chopping and changing as we were between Labour and Tory governments, there was still a collective consensus that the country and society was going inevitably forward to something better. Until that cow faced bitch and her minions came in to power in ‘79 and we have been living with the consequences ever since. “There is no such thing as society, there is only individuals and families”
    • Hi, my son is nine and wants to get into playing dungeons and dragons. Does anyone know of a children’s group playing nearby? Neither me or my husband ever played so we’re at a loss as to how to help!
