I cannot understand why the somerfield shop is so expensive as they have no parking facility to pay for, but their milk is cheap.

I went into Somerfield today for the first time for about a year. The items I bought were very expensive (a third more) compared to Sainsburys, but I needed them there and then and couldn't be bothered to go to Sainsburys as I was going in the opposite direction. I don't like the store, but at least they now done away with all of those self-checkout machines which never seemed to be switched on.

Try doing an Ocado order online and then visit Somerfield to compare prices...

that somerfields is a joke. you can be stood at those tills long enough to have gone to sainsburys, picked up all the items that you wanted for less and be back in ED, whilst i'm still stood in the queue at somerfields.
