do you mean "err" as in "to err" or as in the sound one makes when giving a second opinion aka "uhmm"

Maybe if you hadn't said "only one way"??

aaanyway - considering how close the airport is compared to the other two it can be a pain to get to - given the cost of flights etc etc and even tho the request is for public transport I would advise a mini cab - should be 12-15 quid which as part of the whole deal isn't too bad

it's when someone states something as fact e.g. "Only really one way at the moment.." and the following post, in a slightly jokey way is saying "err no, there is another way", rather like they were involved in a face to face conversation and taking the edge off an otherwise directly conflicting reply. I hope that helps to clear it up.

How much is a taxi to the airport?

Give it a go! It's one of those little things you can just chuck-in to help your postings read less like they've been auto-generated by a machine.

So.. this taxi..?

The missus usually got taxi when she was flying out of there every week. Camberwell cars quote about ?18 I seem to recall. Expect to pay nearer to 30 on your return in a black cab though.

Time depends on hour of the day. Leave at half 6am and you're there in a blink of an eye. Leave at half 8 and you could be well over an hour.

Mockney Piers - I've got a flight leaving City airport at 7.15am next Monday and will probably want to get there about 6.30. How long do you reckon it will take to get there by taxi?

(personally, I struggle to open my eyes at that time of the morning let alone blink them!)

I'd try to leave by 10 to 6. Just to be sure, but that should give you plenty of time at that time of the morning.

I know how you feel, I used to commute to amsterdam on the early flights. Sleep in the cab, then the boarding gate, then the plane, then whatever transport you arrive to ;)

I often fly to Dublin on Air France. It's not very good for my carbon footprint but I'm a nervous flyer in anything bigger than a lorry with wings frankly.

Here's the list, it is designed more for business travel but I've seen many a tourist use it.

If I'm going to be quoted, then perhaps it could be done accurately. Cut and paste is your friend.

Everyone on the EDF has their own style *Bob*, and it wouldn't do if everyone in ED displayed the same lame auto-generated sense of humour.

    • You can make cider from a variety of varieties of apple.  If course the best is west country/SW Midlands which is predominantly cider apples, that can be so tart it knocks your head off.  But cider producers often add desert apples, and Breton and Normandy ciders are sweeter.
    • Hi,  We are welcoming a puppy to our family in a couple of months, and since I'm new to the area, I'm looking for some local recommendations.  I am looking for the following:  Highly recommended vet  Groomers (they are a cavapoo, so will be a regular!)  Group puppy training classes  Thank you 🙂
    • I too am very sorry to hear this, taliax7. It must weigh heavily over you and your family.
    • We did L-shaped conversion and put the bathroom in the middle so could be shared by both front and rear bedrooms and strongly recommend this. We'd stayed in places with ensuite bathrooms in front bedroom and didn't want kids / guests having to walk through front bedroom from back bedroom. All of our loft rooms feel spacious and have lots of light. You can add more roof windows and adding a side window in addition to rear window on back bedroom makes a huge difference to the feel and light. Think how you'll use the rooms and where the furniture will go; and pay attention to where you'll have reduced headroom as this catches lots of people out and having to make mid-build changes. Suggest view your neighbours lofts and see what you like and what you don't. Hope this helps
